I reckon we won't see the PR update till next year, its a bother to check occasionally. I vote we just let it be and only when someone notices any changes we can make a thread about it. Ok?
I have always heard that it does not matter where your backlinks are from these days. A backlink from a PR2 site can be just as valuable as a backlink from a PR7 site. That said, it is always good to get as many backlinks as you possibly can with various different PR's.
I have seen that page rank does not plays a big part in serp as far as last two three months are concerned. PR factor seems to be eliminated by the google. And i can believe why they might not be using it any more. I am just guessing that PR may not get updated that frequently. Also those SEO masters will never worry about PR anymore. You can easily rank a site with good text links with relevancy factor. Why to worry about PR.
Do you know what PR is ???? Stop saying that PR is not a factor .. of course it's not a factor, but PR reflects the backlinking profile for your website .. Unless you think that backlinks have no weight when it comes to Google algorithm, then you can say that PR isn't important or isn't a factor or whatever misleading info you are spreading ...
First - Page Rank is OverRated! Second - Do you have the number of pages and inbound links required for your PageRank to grow?
They probably did fudge something up. I wouldn't get too worked up about it. Pagerank isn't everything. If you spend too much time chasing it you might be better off chasing traffic. It will happen as soon as they slap them engineers that fudged it up in order. Really who knows. It has been about 6 months now. Kind of over due so I am expecting to see something happen this month, but at the same time I am not totally counting on it. Google too has it's ups and downs regarding pagerank. Maybe they were to busy buying out some competitors and forgot about pagerank.
Can you tell at least why you are so sure about it ? Any friend working there told you or something ? I don't know why, but I trust you !
Sorry no friend at G I am afraid, I have been watching this year updates and they all seem to repeat themselves in the same pattern. So the last known minor update ( September 12-15) I was sure about it week before it happen. Same for this one, if everything goes as it has been this year so far, it is only about week away. This time major update that will affect both, home pages and inner pages as oppose to inner pages only in September. Now even if I am 100% right, many people will not get their websites updated. Which is normal because not all sites are ready for it every 3 months.I only notice 2-3 sites changing PR on minor updates and same on major updates couple of times a year. And I manage over 60 domains. Please do not kill me if google changes it's pattern all of the sudden.
If your right you will a lot of green rep this 15 oct, if until 15 oct no update yet I'll red rep you myself, ok
Green is never enough I have already predicted September minor update ahead of time, read more about it here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1937800&page=6#post15063493
PR is the important for the website. The users can know how important given for the website in Google point of view.
Determining PR is not in our hands. However, building a good content site and plenty of backlinks all that matters to online business. It would be surprising to see high ranked sites, for example, PR5 getting no traffic at all while a no ranking site getting loads of traffic. Ultimately what matters most is traffic and converting customers or increased reader base.
