So here's the scenario I have a friend that has a small News Paper company in our local area and she wants to have an online presence. So she approach me (Designer/Developer) in helping her to have her own news paper site. We agree that we will be sharing revenue on what the site will earn. Please advice me what would be the best approach if your in my shoes. She would be waiting for my proposal and I need it to be done soon. Here are some questions that I need to put in my proposal. 1. What do you think would be the proper/best split up of revenue? 2. How can we maximize the sites earning? (we we're thinking just putting adsense, no idea on other options. ) 3. Any suggestions to make our plan even better? This project would be longterm. I would be handling the all IT responsibilities (SEO, maintaining, designing, and developing it). She would just be proving all the content that needs to publish online. Thanks!
You need to have an exit strategy built in so that you know how to nicely leave the partnership. How will you handle disputes etc? What if one of you wants to cash up? move town? dies?
1. 50% more easy to count. 2. By selling text link ads to private buyer. 3. Selling design service to newspaper client that wanted to buy ads at the newspaper.
@mentos. yes totally agree! I highly appreciate you feedback. thanks! at the number 3. (selling design) are you referring for the offline? online? or both? (I'm thinking it would be both) Thanks!
