I have visited and search with a keywords and it shown 7 results This site can never beat google.. Just rumors..

 

It's in it's initial stages but it has all the factors to become a google rival.

Its a bit vague and empty. It has a long way to go before it can compete with Google or even Bing

Never. I have gone through this site. Such kind of Search Engines can never beat Google.

He needs a Billion Dollars in investments. it's funny. but its not a rival to google. its to small.

 

While it may never beat Google, it is a good search engine and even with a small market share it could make good money. I wish them the best of luck!

 

Nothing could rival google - not now not ever. simple they are too strong and they will just buy any opponent only one to rival google would be bing .. but even they are crap.

 

Aesthetically the site is very clean/uncluttered plus the results are good (based on a small sample done), but is it really a search engine in the true sense of the word or just a summary of search engine results? Way back there was another well know search engine which also crawled other search engines when a user did a search. So the results were never their own, but rather a summary of what it found on other search engines. I'm not sure if that is a sustainable business model. In this case, I could feel duckduckgo was slow to return the results.

In the search engine market it is hot up there! Whenever I see a new SE or Directory I cannot help to wonder if the market can sustain another one. Or perhaps more importantly, how is it going to differentiate itself from the competition? What the new SE (or Directory) is asking you - as a websurfer - is to drop your current SE and come over to them. Drop the user interface with which you are familiar and come and try our SE. Drop the search results you have grown to trust and try (gamble?) our results. (A similar situation to the choice between MS Office and OOO. You are using MS Office, has been for years, now you must switch to the unknown.)

And the name - duckduckgo - oh my word, you can see there aren't many domain names left

Google is a massive company that took years to become what it is. Google is not only a search engine now but a full web experience! This site can not beat goole.
