hmmm.... definitely NOT I would say.... you FOUND it!?.... how do you even know what they signed up for, or if they are related to your niche... for sure they are not expecting an email from you and don't know who you are... don't do it, because a. it is spam, and b. it will not work at all for you anyway. 30 is not a bad start from that traffic, but just look at your landing page and try to improve it, look at what other leading landing pages look like and at your rivals and try to improve yours, try to offer a better gift, or make it more enticing, and play with the layout... you will always be able to improve it, its very rare that you would of amazingly stumbled into the best landing page on first go
Thanks for your reply. I don't know if they are related to my niche. That's why I am not sending any offer to them at once. I am planning to send an email explaining what is my list about and what kind of benefits they could get first. It is still their choice whether joining or not. Do you still think it is not OK?
Let's cut to the bottom line about this list (I assume you mean a quantity of email addresses) and you're contemplating contacting those people by importing this list into your autoresponder. No matter how you 'found' this list, importing and using it places you right in the path of spam complaints, and possible getting your I.P banned, or other nasty legal action take against you - as an aside its probably low quality anyway, as most of them are. The old saying is 'rubbish in - rubbish out' Take the time to read the CanSpam Act here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN-SPAM_Act_of_2003 The only legit people you are permitted to email are those who have given you permission to send them information at your capture page - this is why reputable autoresponder service suppliers don't allow you to import lists of email addresses. To build a List yourself, forget all the rubbish you hear and read about 1) using free autoresponders, 1) importing lists, 3) having you own hosted autoresponder and all the various 'shortcuts' and tricky methods. Instead do the following: 1) Invest in a reputable autoresponder service supplier - I recommend 12SC because, unlike all the others, they provide not only the responder but an easy to use capture page maker, full tracking and 6 other services that all successful marketers have to have to succeed all in one integrated package - and all at very reasonable rates. Go to my blog for full details on their package. http://www.StartBusinessMentor.com. 2) Use the capture page builder to turn out a simple capture page - offer a valuable free gift to people as an inducement for them to subscribe. Offer a GREAT gift, not just the usual ebook so many people offer - make yours stand out from the pack. I offer a great value report for free - but here's the deal. Not only is it great content for free, the report can be rebranded with your affiliate links, for free! So, lots of value, rebrandable for free, and often gets handed on to others, becoming viral. A triple whammy If you want a free copy to use yourself, go to: http://www.12path.com/StartBusinessMentor/FreeGift/ 3) Make sure you track your efforts - how many people subscribe and then, as your email series goes out to them, how many open your emails and how many click on the affiliate or other links in them. 4) Provide GREAT value to your subscribers in your emails - a mix of high quality free advice and content and the occasional promotion that's related to their interests and the reason they signed up. There is a real art to this and if you want to see how I do it, sign up for my list - you will also get a 30 day trial of the autoresponder service supplier I use - no credit card or other payment details required http://www.12path.com/ResidualIncomeAnd/OnlineTools/ 5) LOVE your subscribers! They are your future, treat them well.
lol NO - DO NOT DO THIS. It is pointless, and you will get zero result from it and only trouble. They could be any addresses from anywhere. Seriously, this is something you just should absoloutely NOT EVER do!
Agreed, don't do it. The ONLY legit way to build a list is as I attempted to explain in my previous post. There are no shortcuts that are worth exploring. List building (and I have several) is the most important thing you can do in your business - if you recruit your subscribers properly, and then if you learn how to develop a proper relationship with your subscribers. With respect, I feel you need to take advantage of a bit of training before you 1) get into trouble or 2) make a mess of any subscribers you do gain. My autoresponder supplier has the best training I've ever seen, available daily and it's free. You can take advantage here, and pick up a 30 day quick start course on the way through. http://www.12path.com/ResidualIncomeAnd/OnlineTools/
Hi, I'm a real newbie here when it comes to selling this way. Do you guys make your money by sending out e-mails, or do you market them from a website? I hate to ask, but what is a landing page? I was thinking it is the page that is displayed after someone clicks on the link that is created when I place an ad to promote a clickbank product.
LOL at this thread. I haz a DVD with 15,000,000 emails, all were buyers of a product at one point over the last year. I'll sell it to you for $9. Only because I dunno what to do with it so I appraise it at that. I'm sure all you'll have to do is open up a hosted quick mailer and just start bombing people with ads, you'll make lotsamoney~! To my beloved foreigners, this is a joke/sarcasm, do NOT pm me or ask to buy.
I am surprised. I have been using something no one has mentioned. Listwire (dot) com Yes, i know Gary Ambrose and the one time offer on it. But, ignore that, and the tools are just like any other. Except no single opt-ins. Everything else is there, tracking, double opt-ins, etc. Even exit pop ups if you like them. And the best thing about it all - ITS FREE! You can have as many lists and subscribers as you like. No Catches!
