    Hi ,

One of my sites www(dot)paristravel(dot)info has been up for about 4 months now.. Its picked up about 700 backlinks and has a 4.8m alexa ranking but I cant find it in google.

When I look at awstats ( its a wp site ) I see the googlebot visits the site along with all the other SE bots so I cant really understand whats going on..

I have a sitemap and I have done a little social bookmarking and even submitted the site via the google URL ( sooooo 1990 )...

But , as I say It appears that its not indexed... Could it have been a problem with the previous owner ? I bought it from godaddy and know it was a site previously as I looked at its history by that shed no light on the situation.

    Any advice ??

well, site that not indexed already has 700 backlinks?! I think you are running ahead of time. 700 backlinks to website with almost 0 content and just few utube video is not logical at all.
But anyways, check webserver logs if google robots visit your website. Also check crawler stats webmaster tools.

If you don't update a newish site very frequently Google doesn't seem to bother returning it in search results.

    ROFLMAO...

First of all it takes forever for your page to load. Not sure what the problem is but slooooooooooooow load time.

Secondly, WTH should Google index a single page site that has zero content and is basically a parked domain? You must be crazy to think such a site even "deserves" to be in Google's index, much less be shown in their SERPs.

When someone searches for "paris travel" because they are thinking of taking a trip to Paris do you REALLY think Google should show your page in their search results? Do you REALLY think that your site would be what they are looking for? NO.

One look at your site by a Googler or a Google Quality Rater and your site will be deindexed immediately even if you DID manage to somehow get it listed. In fact, this is probably what has already happened.

If you want to sell your so called "Premium Domain", go list it with some domain reseller and call it a day. Personally, I wouldn't consider anything with a .info TLD a "premium" domain. But I guess there's a sucker in every crowd.

Dude, stop giving advices if you don't know a s**t about this. You can index a domain with less content than that with fewer links. I hate gurus like you who give advices when they don't know a damn thing. The domain is banned by google..that's why is not indexed. probably the owner registered the dropped domain without knowing it was banned in the past. Not that you can find out if it was banned or not when you register a domain, that's why I prefer brand new domains, with no history, rather than old domains with a potential bad history..damn gurus are all over the internet these days..
