Ok DPrs there are many of you that have been in marketing for a very long time. If their was someone that was new to the game what would be your advice to them to not only continue to gauge their interest until they started making money but to help them avoid some of the same mistakes (if any) that you did

Marketing is very easy. The only thing you should remember is the keep it simple philosophy. If you get carried away with the next best thing in the market then you are bound to fail.Just start up asap with the knowledge you have you can always add to it later.

Find a product that you fully stand behind and begin selling that. If you have a mind set that you are benefiting others through the sale of your product then you will have no problem putting 110% into your marketing efforts.

To sell products you should like it yourself at least:) Choose something that will be interesting to sell, then check if there's a suggestions for it on the market, if you see that the market overloaded. Start with something that has less competition. regarding the books... at DP is enough info to get started.

Hi there I wasted a lot of time and money on things that were incompleat or way over my head when starting out in marketing. Also information overload Was/is a problem, trying too many diferent things at onsc and jumping on the next shiny thing. Basicaly in marketing you need three things: 1) A product to sell (yours or an affiliate product) 2) A website to sell it on. 3) Hosting to put the website on. Also it is good to have a plan to follow, It is easier to be successfull if someone has been there before and you just have to follow. You can get all these at freesitesignup where you can stop being confused and get on the right track, for the same price you would pay anywhere for hosting, you get excelent cpanel hosting, 35 ready made websites (to put your affiliate links in) and best of all, full video training on every aspect of promoting your sites. You set up one site in the niche of your choice (35 to choose from) get that to successful then set up the next one. The support is excelent they will even check your work for you, so you are not left alone wondering what next. It is the best value I have seen anywhere.
    to your success.
Ps. Check The Link in My Signture To Take a Look!

Best advice is to learn to learn to learn. Read a lot of marketing books. Ask marketing expert. Go to seminars! And don't give up.

I have learned a lot by sticking around in those forums. When you have a couple element on hand, build up a strategy and put it in practice and then analyse the result. Repeat. The most important is to stick enough to your strategy in order to have an honest analysis.

These forums are so helpful to pick up a number of tips. You have to work hard, long hours, prepare to make mistakes and learn from them, and (unless you're a very good liar) believe in your product. Good luck!

Marketing is a marathon, not a sprint. Don't get burned out early on, realize that it takes a lot of time and you often won't see results for a while.

The best advice I would give is to start building a list immediately. Set up a squeeze page and get an autoresponder like Aweber or GetResponse, and send all of your traffic to your squeeze, or lead capture page. You can then market to these leads many times in the future instead of just once as with articles.

Best advice really is know your audience, as well as the product, that way you can view your product through their eyes, that comes before any copy or landing page

    Hi gmoney38,

My best advice is to get a mentor or coach. Its very important, when you start in internetmarketing, that you are shown and using proven methods - so you wont get doscouraged and loose faith in this business.

You will need proven methods to succed.

    Regards, LASSE
