I earned some profits in one month. You have to specialize on a specific skill like web design, logo design, or graphic design then market your services online.

It has a lot to do with what you're looking to make profit from. Profit from ads and affiliates takes time. Profit from a service should be much quicker.

Took me a few months, but then I just reinvested it to make the site better...that's the problem generally with running sites. Technology is always changing and you always want to have the latest and greatest.

Hi gmoney, I made my first profit in 3 days. It was like 20 dollars on amazon.

I started with affiliate marketing on Amazon, then affiliate marketing clickbank - up to 100 DAD. (dollars a day)

Switched to selling own products to reach 200 DAD.

Afterwards, went into offline consulting and coaching of newbies and intermediate internetmarketers.

    Now, I make 500 DAD.

I have kind of followed the potpiegirl strategy, saying build up a residual income of 150-200 dollars a day, then go work with the issues, whicj interewt you.

So, now I only do OFFLINE CONSULTING and COACHING.

    thanks, LASSE

A few months. This poll is rather interesting, but I'm guessing businesses that last bring later and stronger profits than the ones taking advantage of a particular situation at a certain moment.

My experience says that it depends not only on period of time but mostly on your marketing efforts (and budget, for sure). Without good marketing (including SEO) you may wait forever before getting the first profit.

I am going to tell you the truth because you are probably tired of people BS'ing. I've been doing internet marketing as a fulltime job for 1 year and 7 months. It took me 3 months to see my first check. In the beginning, I wasted time reading forums and thinking about internet marketing. I also had the delusion that many of the people on here have: Thinking that I was going to create a whitehat site that would eventually make me money!--It didn't work that way. My first real money came from ewhoring on craigslist. I was lucky enough to enter into the 'game' before you had to have PVAs and such. I bought an autoposter and started blasting ads. I had many $300 days doing that even some 4 figure days. Now, the game is a lot tougher. My suggesting is to use blackhat methods to get A LOT of money. All that SEO slow growth stuff is best for people who have the kind of income that allows them to WAIT. If you are like most people you need money NOW. Whitehat SEO build the best site ever thinking isn't going to make you money NOW. Learn blackhat traffic generation methods. MOST IMPORTANTLY LEARN HOW TO THINK LIKE A MARKETER, AND A BUYER.

I'm starting to get into CPA and I've already had a $500 day--- How is this possible? This is possible because I have learned how to think about the 'game'. I know why buyers buy, I know how they feel about themselves, and I know what to write to make them click through.

    Good luck

By being creative. Stop looking outside of yourself, and just sit at a desk and brainstorm a bunch of ideas. You will fail a bunch of times before you are successful. The whole please give me a review copy handout mentality is an illness that will never allow newbs to survive in this business. Too me BH means sending traffic that is against the TOS. It doesn't mean that you break the law or rip people off. Although being sneaky is a virtue in this business. Violating TOS's can lead to termination and forfeit of money 'earned', but hopefully you are a man that takes risks. I got pinched for 2k from a network for sending traffic from a source that they didn't approve of. I took it in stride-- That's part of the game. I went and join 10 more networks and spread out my TOS violating traffic to all of them, and got paid. I use to sparingly do CPA because I was scared, but as soon as I got busy implementing my ideas the fear left. I also learned how to hide my traffic sources...

3 months for me! I built up a blog then sold it for a nice little income :) . But I was making small time cash on my blog like a few bucks a day from google adsense but that was pennies compared to what I sold the blog for.

Some people can make lots of money affiliate markting and can find success within days. It really depends how you want to go about making money.

I kind of cheated. I used a Tax Return to purchase a profitable website. So right out of the gate I was making some money. That proved to be a wise investment in the long run as the site still generates income. It was probably six months later when I decided to expand the business that I created my own from-scratch profiting website. It was an affiliate site where I was selling concert tickets. It was really low profit though and not really worth the time. I still made a few hundred dollars on the site though. It was a good lesson.

I now create strictly whitehat sites that are focused on long-term investments. I don't push out 100 sites like others do. I do maybe 2-3 per year. All the while trying to build up organic traffic. I'm to the point now where I hire a lot of stuff out. I've been at this for a few years now.

I built my own website offering my own product. It's been a month live, so far, the sells didn't covered the cost of adwords. So, no profit yet. I do not expect any good profit for the next three month. I am focusing on building up organic traffic, which make better sense than using adwords. My product is a commodity, but it is my own brand. I think that if you want to succeed in selling commodities you need to create a brand and build it. Make it appear different and attractive. Like Starbuck, they just sell coffee. Everybody sell coffee, but lot of people like to stop in a Starbuck. So it takes time and work. If you want to build something that last, you need to build it brick by brick. Do not expect to make money right away. I mean it is possible to make money right away, just trick the people and you'll pocket a little for a little time.

On my own product? About a month. The problem is getting a consistent profit. Write down your successful actions and do them everyday day in day out and it will build your income. The other thing should do to build that income is to build your knowledge each day as well and think of it as a currency.
