My first site !!

Hi , I have still not posted about my site here.

I am very excited for my first site http://www.meethere.org

I made the site using NVU software (its free and have tab, plugins features as like firefox).

And used TopStyleLite as a CSS editor..

Also i am going to start two forums in near future, I have installed them but still in confusion which bulletin board is best ..
1) mobile forum - a SMF board
2) medical forum - a PPHBB board

Please review my site and give some suggestions to improve it..

 

Not bad for a first website.

Your logo and header image of the beach are too pixelly. I would find new ones so they look more crisp.

 

Will you find them for me, Ohh thanks very much.. Please send me them fast once you get them.

 

design is almost excellent, but I hadn't found many interesting articles....

also, it seems that you don't chase good keywords for adsense...

Ya I didn't go for high paying keywords, I made it only for my interest and for others if they like

 

If this is your first website i would really appreciate the design. You have done nice use of javascript.

The thing i didnt like is the placement of your adsense. Your website seems to be a one which is just Made For Adsense. Just on the front page, instead of content links, you have stuffed adense. there. Always remember if you always concentrate on adsense, you will never be able to earn thrught it. Always think of your visitors, are your visitors comfortable with your ads placement.

I think adsense must be placed only on sidebars and footers and not in main body since it spoils the look of a site.

 

But according to Google optimization tips they tell to put adsense ads in first half of your site to get better CTR ?
My site is not MFA site because I have never concentrated on high paying keywords, the keywords are mobile ringtones which I suppose pays least.

 

i saw the word "Meethere" right under the "home" of the tope menu bar, is that a bug?

 

Previously I added adsense link unit code just after meethere , to identify the position in html codes
Then I realised that only one link unit is allowed/displayed.

How can I remove adsense ads ? They are the only source of income on my site can someone advice how can i monetize my niche site other than adsense ?

Man it took me about 15 seconds to figure out what type site it was. The name gives me the idea of a date site. The header image makes me think travel and the text says its a.................wait I forgot.........brb.

....................... online stuff place. (mobile content and joke)

I think you are off to a good start. Clean layout. Change that header! Good job on the google adsense placement. I think I only saw one? See if you can work in 3 google ads. Or two at least.
