I know all that but many thanks anyway! My site, in some keywords, is on the first page on google. Don't forget it's new site and I even didn't get PR. I have nice contant in my site but of course adding more contant is always recommended. I thinks I am in the right way but i wanted you to bring me some "push" because of that I've search on sites that drives traffic to websites. Maybe I'll do that just for checking.
I'm a firm believer that the best way to gain traffic is prepare good content and do some good hard work, just as someone else mentioned earlier in this thread. IMO that means getting involved in the community....you know, contributing in forums, writing articles, commenting on blogs, social networking.
It's a shame technology hasn't got to the stage where you can surf the internet and drive a vehicle at the same time, I bet the consequences would be even ore disastrous than alcohol or drugs and driving!
Best is to write articles you are passionate about, and submit to the top articdle directories like ezinearticles and goarticles the more people that use your articles, the more traffic you will get, you can also add your site to comments on blogs

I was in your situation last year. I was so tempted to sue paid traffics (ppc and etc). And even though I new those ads for buying thousands of visitors for $10 or so weren't going to send me real visitors, I was so desperate that I started considering them. But, I didn't pay any money. I did some searching and found many free ways to drive traffic to my blog. And most people who I talk to, say that free traffic better and much longer lasting than paid ones. Do a banner exchange at some top 100 sites related to your website. I always find that it works great!
If a site is one month old you wont get any love from Google. Google puts all new domains in the sand box. Which means they wait a year or so to see first if you are going to stay around and second they want to see fresh content being added over a period of time. You need to spend the next few months talking about your site all over the internet.
Not quite so true as I've had sites that are less that one month old that made it to the first page without even trying too hard. A lot of thought sometimes needs to go into the researching of keywords, how the site is set up and to whom it is directed to be able to get this kind of ranking in this time frame. Do give up so easily though.
I use free advertising and sometimes brings better results than paid. Advertising for free works but there are little tricks that advertiser must be aware.
I think The major issue is they are all automated and all you glimpse is traffic in your stats. Does not advance PR or earnings in any way, form or form. I propose you start composing items with embedded connections and getting them released and for Henry's sake start construction links.
i think its forum blog posting and article submission can drive you a lots of traffic also do some others you can like social bookmarking so i think all way are working
My friend, the best thing that you can do to drive traffic to your site is to pick the top 3 marketing strategies that you feel more confortable with, and focus all your energy on mastering those. Lets say that you pick article, blog posting and video. This is how you do it, Mon Wed and Fri you write and article and place some posts on different forums and Tue, Thu you recored a video and post it on youtube or other video hosting company. Hey Roi, Got a good discussion going I see. My number ONE traffic generation method for me has been hands down Article marketing, because I've gotten great long term targeted traffic from it. In fact, I still am getting many subscribers from an article that I did 6 months ago. What I do is I just focus on submitting ONE article a day to Ezinearticles.com FIRST, wait for it to be approved, and then submit that same article (with a little rephrasing to avoid having Google think it's duplicate content, which will bring your search engine rankings lower) to goarticles and articlesbase. So, if you want long term targeted traffic, article marketing is king. It's been working great for me. Sonam
