Number of keywords in Keyword tag

Usually when coming to number of keywords in Keyword tag inside HTML page, what is the idea count? Please help.

Just wonder is there any standard for this? Please comment. Thanks

 

Usually first three are most important but most people have about 6-10 keywords in the tag. Lots of people have lots of keywords but that is not the right way to go. 10 should be max but only first 3-4 count.

 

According to Matt cutts, google do not gives the priority to keyword tag but if you want to add keywords then 5 to 6 are the best reshow.

 

Keywords should be till 10 but it counts 3-4.

 

Keyword Tag max character count is around 250. I would not spend more than 1 minute per page thinking about meta keywords - however, despite the acceptable that they no longer seriously affect ranking, they are still a factor and it is better to have them than not to.

I don't think keywords in the meta keywords tag play a big role. Personally I use 3-6 keywords.

 

I would also say that 3 keywords could be the best choice. And as Google does not take it into account it does not makes the sense to put there those 10 and more keywords in any case, but still there are a lot who still do that.

 

Yet you have more than 10 keywords on your website.

 

5 is the best and should be related to content

 

i would suggest 3-5.. vey specific.. spamming meta keywords wont help you with anyting..

Title tag must contain 64-70 words or 2,3 main keywords and in keywords tag there should not be more than 200- 250 words including space or 8-10 keywords.

I'm using 10-15 words in keyword tag. But I don't waste too much time for this, becouse it's not so important as 4-5 years ago. by the way, I know some good traffic sites with empty keyword tag.
