If you're banned from Google, you might as well go kill yourself.

I am running a site that I am afraid to monetize with adsense. (It's in my sig). I'm not sure how the content would roll over, so I've tried sooo many PPC and they all suck.

Chitika -They look good but no one click it
AdBrite - They run non paying ads unless someone directly advertises on your website! It makes more sense to sell ad space directly and get 100% profit.
Kanoodle - Decent, but I never once got a relevant ad. I always get Target.com ads
Clicksor - The absolute worst! I wish their business would just blow up...
Bidvertiser (Well, I signed up yesterday) Their ads have been on my site for 1 hr and I've gotten nothing but the SAME EXACT 2 Casino and debt consolidation ads.

The only halfway decent ones are Chitika and kontera. If you lose Adsense and can't get into YPN, then use CPM based like Burstmedia or Fastclick. Because there AREN"T other fish in the sea.

Can you share some CTR and CPM for that? I presume you don't want to deal with popunders because it would scare people away?

Also I heard for US traffic Yahoo actually pays more than adsense 90% of the time.

    Quite true.

I am banned from Google, YPN isn't available to me, so my next best bet is adBrite.

Just wondering, were you warned before being banned? I have always wondered how google goes about banning someone.

There must be a procedure to get unbanned, can they really just ban you?

I was banned from AdSense without any prior warning, and yeah, it's not a nice feeling. Especially when you didn't do anything wrong at all.

I've moved on though and found a couple of programmes that pay well. ValueClick pays up to $4/CPM on Pop-Unders and around $1/CPM on their banners. To replace AdSense, I've been using 7Search (PayPerText) and have been very happy so far. Although it's different to AdSense you're able to customize the "ads" to look like them. It's a bit hard to explain the way they work, but my CTR has been drastically higher than I was getting with Google, so I'm happy. The only downside is that the average CPC (for my niche anyway) is $0.03.

I agree with what you said about the PPC programmes. The majority of them will only work with specific niches as their advertiser pool is small. I think Bidvertiser & AdBrite have a lot of potential but they need to improve a lot before even being considered an "AdSense alternative". I'm sure this will come over time.

Just a suggestion: But I don't use adsense on of my sites. First, I think it clutters the site, second I make more profit selling my own products (have done testing). You can use this space to sell affiliate programs as well. The right affiliate programs, and you can make quite a bit of money.

Instead of killing yourself, just say, "Screw Adsense!" Besides you are the one paying their bills by advertising on your site! There are a million way to make money online without their service.

For my sites, AdSense outperforms all competition. My 7-day rolling CPM is $17.66.

    My advice?

    1. Create a corporation and have it apply as an AdSense Publisher
    2. If you are banned, always appeal and just keep appealing

When Reading the Adsense TOS I knew they were strict but it sounds like they are really sticky about things.

Sell your own advertisements, there are some forums that allow you sell ad space (i am not sure if digital point has a place for advertising space too).

Its even worse if you have a non-English site, targeted at second, third world countries. In that case there is absolutely no substitute to Adsense.

AdSense's value really depends on how specific your pages are.

If you have a page about cars, then YPN might work fine.

If you have a page about 1969 Ford Mustangs, then AdSense is much more likely to have a bunch of ads related to 1969 Ford Mustangs.
