Hi, if you wanna build fast loading website on Wordpress, you have to follow some tips: 1) Use some cache plugin - the best of is Super Cache Plugin 2) Use only plugins, that you really need. If you don't use some plugin, remove it. 3) Choose some theme, which haven't got much variable options in WP admin panel (less call PHP/MySQL function) 4) Compress images, JS, CSS files, HTML code. 5) Reduce PHP function in WP theme - for example function <?php bloginfo(name); ?> you can replace by My WP Website. 6) Turn off pingbacks and trackbacks

Every time another blog mentions you, it notifies your site, which in turn updates data on the post. If you have big site, many blogs ping to you and you are on share hosting, it can your site really slow down.
Yeah that is good point of view. But When I will have 50 000 unique visitor shared hosting will force me to not use share host. Also if I will have 50 000 unique visitor per day, I will use dedicated hosting
Wordpress is very awesome. There are many SEO plugins to get the job done. You can be using Wordpress and make it look like a site you would make in HTML.
Sure, using shared hosting for web with 50k unique visitors is bad idea, but it doesn't change anything about that pingbacks and trackbacks slow down your site...at least a little bit
