many of the blog emphasis google for seo.. or in shot seo = google . and they used to give suggestion that #1 in google mean probably #1-2 in yahoo and bing . one of my site in on #1 for "justin bieber jokes" in google us but in bing it is at 11 and at 9 on yahoo. Since yahoo and bing is going to merge i am giving emphasis on bing too. do you have any suggestion for getting top rank in bing ?
Google, Yahoo and Microsoft Bing all use various kinds of methods to rank your website. Some times Google may have a method which Yahoo or Microsoft Bing do not and that "small" factor can affect your ranking greatly in their search engine but not in the others. I hope that this helps. Ok what you need to know is the Justin beiber niché has litterally gone through the roof, with all the youtube stuff... so you should be ranking well... Maybe get a few more backlinks? I heard a while ago that bing doesn't focus on keywords as much but it does on image Alts and Descriptions Edit: May i just add I know michael in real life, I have done for about a year and a bit, diddn't know he was on this forum tho welcome michael
It's a major problem for maximum webmaster; ranking on google is easier then bing. Another thing is that as google is big traffic sender so we should not spend much time and money for bing. Thanks.
Maybe on your point of view, buuuut... many people still use the computer "as is", because they don't know much, and IE browser means navigation "as is" and means that these people will search through bing, want it or not. For those that are focusing on niches for older people.... Bing might be a great source of traffic.
This guy said it best. They all use different ways of ranking so you may be #1 on one, but #591 on another. If your number 1 on google, then I would try refocusing my efforts to rank higher on the other search engines. But dont let your number 1 rank slip away from you.
You know I never liked the way Bing ranks sites. I was worried about them doing yahoo's search's and my fears came true last month. It only took me a couple weeks to get the #1 position in yahoo for my sites, and in an instant when Bing took over their search's, my sites disappeared or dropped in ranking... either Bill gates is doing the serps himself manually, or they are under staffed becuase I'm starting to think they are reviewing sites by eye... I think whatever people are doing to rank in google, bing is doing the opposite so people pay for sponsored listings on bing. I wouldn't put it past Bill gates, and Bings ads cost more then Adwords...
businessman know just do the most value things when they have limited resource and workers ,as well as SEO what's more ,the way of SEO face to google and bing is similar ,so ,just when my site has good ranking at google i will take much more car to other SEs!
on page factors like keyword density seem much more important to yahoo and bing. google gives more importance to off page factors ie. imcoming links.
Bing usually trails a bit and gives more credit for certain things. I wouldn't worry i find traffic for bing is a lot less anyway
Its have ranking #1 on all them, in this case just go with google since its the biggest traffic source..
Of course the two search engines will have you at different standings, they use different algorithms don't they?
I see a lot of people stating the obvious here. I think the question that needs to be answered - that I would also like to know the answer to - is: How is Google SEO different from Bing SEO? What does Bing place more emphasis on that Google does not?
I guess, it is because they are two different big search engine that has different FAQ and rules when it comes to ranking.. Bing are into deep links while google are into backlinks..
Bing and yahoo does not index pages quickly as google do. So, you may get high rank after few months.
My sites tend to be #1 in Bing if they are #1-5 in Google. I focus on
keywords
, YouTube videos, internal links and backlinks. But I'm already submitting my product feed to Bing Shopping... in anticipation of a possible Facebook move that could dump 500,000,000 FB users into Bing overnight.
