Selling CaptainFunny.com | Over 1,200 Members (E-Mails)

I'm putting up for sale my CaptainFunny.com website.

    Why am I selling?
I have recently been contacted by Google because of my ad implementation being 'too much'. I went overboard, and COMPLETELY blended in the ads to the point where my CTR was 10%. It is up to you to do what you want with the site after sale. It hasn't been banned from Google, because I'm still making some off it each day.

    What are my earnings?
I've earned anywhere between $30 and $200 depending on where I put advertising. I've found a few reliable sources that pretty much guarantee profit by the end of the campaign (I.E. Spend $200 for 1 week of advertising, and you make $250). I am going to make sure that the buyer knows where to get traffic. I make sure you get everything straightened out before taking the site over.

    What is included?
    Included with this is:
    1 FlickScript License ($147)
Over 1,200 E-mails/Users (Never e-mailed - but these are the amount of signups I've had)
    1 Domain Name (CaptainFunny.com)
4 Pages of Videos (none assumed to be copyrighted - some have over 50,000 views)

How did your site get so popular?
Greg's script allows you to properly monetize off your user. I have made around $2,500 this month off the site. I've invested that money into more and more. I've had my video featured on ShoutWire. I've had my video as an article on the homepage of Netscape. I've had MySpace bulletins sent out. I've spent money through AdEngage (very reliable).

    How much does it cost?
Due to the great potential of the site, I would like to begin the bidding at $1,000. I've attached some screenshots and traffic stat links to be able to view the website stats.

    Website Stats: http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/stats.php?project_id=1846105&guest=1

Please note the traffic has gone down since my ad campaigns have ended.

Please show the last 9 days Adsense Please. I would like to see how much it makes a day without ad campaigns.

PR shows 0, how old is the site?

Also where it says "test" is that where the Google Placement was "overboard blended". I can see why.

    thanks,
    Daniel

The last 9 days are irrelevant, because I had changed the ad implementation right around then.

The site was opened September 1.

I forgot to mention that lifetime updates come with FlickScript. CPM can be up to $15! CTR can go as high as you want, depending on how you implement your ads. Bandwidth doesn't chew much up, and you never have to touch the PHP - it's all in a nice Admin menu.

Yes, I had some bulletins sent out that proved to work extremely well. I could try and get some out for you upon purchase.

Also Twan, has Google contacted you about the MySpace bulletins at all? I think it's hard to justify asking $1k+ for a month old site, especially considering that there's no guarentee Google will pay you for what you've earnt.

Good luck with your sale though, your site looks fantastic. :)

The last 9 days are what we are buying and what happened before the last nine days is what is irrelevant here.

Please disclose what we are actually buying here Twan.

If you so choose, you can change the ad implementation (putting images back next to the video lists, etc.)

If you don't completely blend in the ads (Same font type, style, color, size, etc.) - then your CTR will be normal and you can make alot more. Google did not seem to mind my semi-blending until I went overboard with it.

I'd also like to see the last 9 days ....

People don't know what to expect to recieve without ad campaigns unless they see the last 9 days.

    Don't hide them!

The last 9 days were around a dollar.

After unblending the ads, CPM has dropped. Also, I have not sent out any MySpace bulletins or advertisements because I have wanted to sell since being contacted by Google.

However, I have never sent out mass e-mails to any of the members, because I have not added new videos over the past week. After you buy the site, you may change the ad implementation to however you want. This will allow you to have a CPM of around $10 after e-mailing over 1,200 members. That could easily earn you $100 on your first e-mail.

You are not buying the last 9 days, because upon purchase you can (and should - at least until Google contacts you (if they even do)) change how the ads are, and then get the free traffic from the memberlist.

Google should not contact you unless you go overboard with the implementation.
