I reported my thread to be deleted and then I get an infraction for:
Attacking/harassing other members - You are allowed to disagree with the opinions of other members but you are not allowed to attack the person or their circumstances.

For one, I didn't realize that a review about a terrible company was attacking/harassing another member... It was a company...not a member. I really don't care if I have that on my profile anyways... But the real problem is, they are trying to sue me for that thread hence the reason I reported it to get deleted yet the moderator closed it.

So please...review my report and delete the thread. I'm going to be sued for things that I wrote that are true and they don't want people knowing that but I just don't have the time or resources to go to court. I have a life which consists of 30+ credit hours of classes a week (plus weekend classes and seminars which would add up to over 45 credit hours a week if you added those in), plus 12+ clinic hours a week (and emergency calls when patients need me), and all the study hours I put in. I don't have the time to deal with their BS. So please, delete that thread so I can move on with my life. Please...

DP doesn't delete threads, but if a court issues an order to delete a thread, they will comply with it as far as I know.

A good reminder is not to forget that giving out reviews have certain limitations no matter how bad or rubbish a company can be. You may have a different perception on how their company works but we also have ours and especially theirs. You might think that the review you gave out is reasonable but for them, it isn't.

As for the thread, bk871 is correct. DP doesn't just delete threads as they initially serve as documentation purposes not unless the court issues the order to do so.

Azzid, you shouldn't give in to big corps this way. You did nothing wrong by posting a negative review.

Actually they do , but only if it is truly needed . As for infractions try to understand that mods are under a lot of pressure due to the high amount of spam DP sometimes receives and probably can't afford to waste time review in great details each and every situation .

Speaking of infractions , can you appeal them ? Or are they final ? And when a infarction expires does it disappear or does it stay there like a mark of shame ?

Actually, they don't. :) [Edit, unless they break the rules]

Final, unless there's something that backs yourself up. If you ever would like to appeal an infraction, click "Admins & Moderators" under Quick Links and select a moderator.

PM them, and nicely ask why the infraction was received, specifically, and provide a bit of proof as to why you believe it wasn't deserved.

If it is a legit infraction, it stays there forever, even after it expires, but the infraction points get removed.

:D Yes, sorry. I meant that you cannot report a thread and get it deleted for no reason.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So what's the point in giving only good reviews? Then you never know if a company is good or bad...am I right? Nothing I had written was an opinion and was all truths. So why should I get an infraction for what happened to me with a company? Doesn't the public have the RIGHT to know that a company has had problems? That the company was hacked and was trying to hide it? That the hacker has all their customers information and passwords? These are not false claims. They are truths that I can back up and if a moderator here would like to see my proof, I'd GLADLY let them teamveiwer me so they can see the proof I have (as I'm not sending this proof anywhere).

So...by what you are saying, we should hide all this information so this illegitimate company can look legitimate? What about all those customers on their site that has their information stolen? They weren't even notified. The sad thing is, the staff do not even know that the site was hacked. Only the owner does...b/c from the sounds of it, it was even a personal attack and the hackers got a lot of his personal emails and I think his facebook information.

Think what you want about bad reviews...I feel people have the right to know when a company has done something wrong and even illegal (recording my phone call with the owner when he called me and didn't tell me that it was recorded...hence the reason he won't send it to me and let me release it). All these things are pointing to their true personality and if you want to cover it up, then you are naive and ignorant to information and I feel bad for you and the products you purchase lol.

So just pointing this out...my infraction was for attacking a member...when infact I was leaving a personal review of the WEBSITE (not the person).

Azzid, I must say one thing:

I say it was fully justified for you to leave the negative review. But DP has different rules (infraction wise)

As for the issue, I suggest you contact a non-profit attorney and request their input to the situation. As I said, in my opinion, a negative review shouldn't allow them to force you to court.

I just read the first sentence and you've completely misunderstood me.

There is nothing wrong with giving out reviews (positive or negative) it is just that there are certain limitations on how you give one.

Say you give a review a software company and you say that they're actually scammers, scamming people with viruses just to earn money and such and blah blah blah without giving any evidence? Even if they actually do it or not, they can sue your ass for it.

But then again, it depends on the review that you've given. Note that I haven't seen your review so I wouldn't know for sure so I am not in anyway going against you nor siding with whomever you gave that review to.

    Yeah.

And I have proof that they were hacked, all their customers information was breached (name, address, phone number, password, tickets, logins to other servers that SO's support requested, etc). And they haven't warned or told any of their clients. I was one of their clients when the site was hacked. The hackers then got my information and placed a c99 shell on my server directly due to ServerOrigin but they will deny it because only the owner knows about it...and then he is LYING about it now. I have the proof now...and since I told them this, they decided to not contact me with their lawyer.

I just wish my thread wasn't closed so I can post all this information about them WITH the proof. If only they will give me the audio log that they recorded without my prior consent or knowledge. Then it would be GAME-OVER for them.
