How do you get able to put backlinks when responding to a Yahoo Answer?

Do you need a certain amount of points to be able to have a html link (anchor text)

Yes, you need to be on level 2 which means 250 points to put live links over there.

it is difficult but if you select a topic that relates to your website, you can post your website's link as a source. I have done that before and haven't encountered issues.

The key is to see what most people are asking in the category / topic. See all the previous answers and compile them. Make an article and post it in your site. Next time some one asks similar question answer them and put your link in the resource box. Most likely you will get a vote for best answer.

You should be level 2 to have hyperlinks. As far as I know they are nofollow. Not sure.

They draw quite a bit of traffic.

I have had the dubious honour of other people writing yahoo answers and using my dictionary as a reference. Love it :)

level 2 - how hard is it to get to, and is the effort worthwhile. Discuss.

But you won't get any benefit from backlinks from yahoo answers. Its a nofollow link.

Yes, you need to be on level 2. It wasn't a requirement before, but the influx of IM'ers linking to affiliate products brought about this change.

Done right, yahoo answers is still good place to find targeted traffic.

It not the ultimate source of traffic but it is good to get started with newer sites. Besides if you give good answers you might be chosen as best answer. These best answers come first if you search in YA and sometimes even in google. So its not a very bad idea.

    Yeah,
I agree it with you...you can be collect more links if the topic are common and most people are always asking in that category.

I think you can't use it as back-links. You might get your account banned.
