Nothing specific. If I were forced to decide all I could respond with would be "warm colors and/or earth tones."
This is the best of your work so far! I was initially disappointed with the grouping of people but now I think it was a very good call to put a single smaller person icon in the center. Could you make the grouping thinner and/or closer together? Also I really would like to at least see bi-colored thin sprays or dropplets as a fill for the top of the umbrella canopy. Maybe the very top could still be empty to keep the fountain effect.
I am very taken with this version of your work. Your 3D effect is very nice. I am thinking that the "Insurance Store Family Protector" is not required, in which case Family Defence could be a little bigger. The rest of the text could go on the web page header. You have change my mind about the old english. It seems more like a modern law enforcement badge and I like it. I don't know if your limited resources was with fonts or with my request for some kind of scroll work. I do think it needs something... may be small circles around a dot in each of the three main points at the top and one at the point at the bottom, kind of like buttons or rivets. I hope this inspires a better thought than my description!
I like this better than any of your others so far. You seem to like the $ and I am just not seeing it as important. If you could take the roof element and family in a box element and combine them it would unify the image more. I think you would probably want to take the top black line off the family box and let the roof line be the box top when combining them. The double hands seems a little more religous than I want. Under the house single horizontal hand even one with considerably less detail and even maybe stylized would be preferable. Thanks for your determination and efforts. Leland

In your post #51 I really like the "buttons." Now that everything else is three dimentional the family Icon seems flat. I have no Idea what can be done to fix that. Maybe they are just to generic. Also with the words Family Defence larger they seem flat. I don' know if making these words slightly curved up at the ends like a smile would do the trick or not.
I am surprised. They do look more corporate. Unfortunately not the Image I want at this time and for this project. Thanks for your efforts. Leland
Let me start of by saying that this is not the look I am seeking at this time so slight modifications will not result in my choosing your entry. For your benefit I am adding a comments. I liked the old roof more than the one you just submitted! You did turn the hand but it has the same amount of detail. In other words not stylized or made to look more like an icon rather than an accurate drawing of a hand. Also for my purposes the family icon you used is too busy. You also cut off the little kids hands and maybe the top of his head in your putting the roof on. I hope this helps with future projects and I welcome your entries at all times. Thanks Leland

Brainsurgeon I think that this may be the best that this themed logo can be. I was surprised by the size of the curve of "family defence" but do like it. If you have any other flashes of inspiration as to how to improve it by all means share them. I now have no other suggestions for you and will wait on the other contestants entries. Thanks Leland
