wordpress vs joomla for e-commerce seo

    i'm planning to start an e-commerce website where i want to sell books. in this point of view is it better to use wordpress or joomla bxoz i want it to be search engine friendly.
    moreover for each product i want separate meta tags. if there are any templates or plugins in either joomla or wordpress please suggest me.i would be more thankful if a perfect plan is suggested from a-z for my new website

    Magento all the way, it is an ecommerce platform. those two are built for other things with ecommerce tagged on.

    I concur with magento if you can get a reasonably fast server, my next option is prestashop usually. For straight e-commerce I would not suggest Joomla by any stretch, that stuff is a trainwreck. Wordpress is not so bad and has a range of content related capabilities you wont really get elsewhere.

    Hi,

    I would like to recommend you to use some dedicated scripts like zen-cart for building e-commerce sites since it comes with built-in SEO features for inputting meta tags manually and other SEO add-ons.

    If you decide to run with WordPress then the ecommerce plugin from instinct.co.nz is the one to choose.

    I agree. Joomla too comes with search engine friendly URL and Each pages comes with its own Title, Meta description and meta keyword..
    Joomla can offers you e-commerce platform, Forum, blog within one site which wordpress may not.
