The same way you would get worked up too if someone insults the honour of your mother, sister or aunt. It is not that we are adverse to criticism, but blatant misrepresentation and stereotyping of Islam will of course upset Muslims (or for that matter, anyone). Muslims are just human after all, not angels.

Not neccessarily. Drawing cartoons lampooning the Prophet is an insult. Asking questions about Islam is not.

Islam forbids the drawings of the Prophets. The "Prince of Egypt" cartoon was banned here because it featured the drawing of Musa alaihissalam (that's Moses/Moshe to you) and we honour and respect him. Therefore we ban his imagery.

Same goes for Jesus (Isa alahissalam/Eesho) too but since Christians like to draw him so much, we cannot do much about it and therefore it is allowed in their churches and literature.

How would you react if someone makes fun of your dead family during the Holocaust and make cartoons ridiculing them? Will you smile, or will you get angry?

I am tempted to test your reaction with an example, but I am afraid of your violent reaction :D

I said ridiculing your family, not ridiculing the Holocaust. Btw, those heretics in Iran are not "my friends".

Iran ridiculed the whole thing as this brings disrespect to me and my family.
The holocaust REALLY happened while the existence of religious figures are often disputed.

Of course the Holocaust happened, who would deny that? And I have not seen the Iranian cartoons.

Pretty broad statement there. All the muslims I know, which number in the hundreds would not deny it. I went to school with quite a few of them and have met their families and heard many discussions including nazi stuff and never heard any doubts about the holocaust. Parts of my family from my grandmother's side whom I visit have friends who had family in the holocaust.

Problem with threads such as these are the overly broad statements.
