Just curious how many forums do you post in to get all these sales? How many files per day do you post? Maybe some forums are better than others as far as sales go.

    Response: 150 Accepted data connection
    Response: 421 Timeout
    Error: Connection closed by server

This is the normal experience that I have for the first file in a series of consecutive files. This also is my experience for Hotfile. I'm surprised you have not noticed before. Responses that begin with the number 4 (421) are "Transient Negative Completion replies" and "error condition is temporary and the action may be requested again." In other words server temporarily disconnects you and waits for next command from your client which would come at the end of the completion of the transfer of your file. If you don not cancel and start again you should see:
    Response: 226-File successfully transferred
Usually I am uploading consecutive files from the queue and never see this error code again. All my files show up in FM within 1 minute of completion.
Can not comment on your speed as my ISP upload is limited but I can say that I get my maximum.

There is a check box: "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder." that you need to use. It's not automatic like normal email.

I've never seen this before. It will sometimes disconnect for some reason but not with the same wording. So I guess I don't have to keep reconnecting? The file will still complete and show up in the file manager and download properly? Kinda strange but as long as it works.

Same situation here: 6 Thurs, 5 Fri, 7 Sat (until about 4hrs before date change)....0 since then. I also have close to 3000 downloads just from countries within A & B groupings during that time, and 0 sales?

It could be frozen geographically which means they will compile tomorrow when the staff comes in and re-boots the system.

It's not the number of forums you post in, but the quality of the forums within which you post. I post in a good number of forums as time allows but 95% of my sales come form just (3). Be happy to give you advice if you need it. Hit me on Skype of MSN.

Just make sure you are using ftp.filesonic.com as your host ID. I notice some FTP complaints come from people trying to connect to specific servers like s8.ftp.filesonic.com etc. This is only done when IT is beta testing and requesting users to connect to specific servers. Good luck.

OK thanks. I definitely use ftc.filesonic.com. The file seemed to complete and show up in the file manager somehow. I'll have to keep an eye on it and see what happens as time goes on. Thanks again.

I had this error also in 1 file out of thousands. After trying many logical work arounds such as re-upping or renaming. I eventually added data to folder (to change checksum) and split folder into different amount segments. This worked. I can not say which procedure worked. I guess you are not premium user. But if you are I would further suggest downloading as premium user and shorten your test procedure method and perhaps narrow the list of suspected areas the problems may reside. In my case it was not server related as my work arounds involved different servers. It eventually was file related. Hope this helps and you don't get this error alot. It was frustrating to me as well.

Don't know if you can see a time stamp, but if you can, you'll see they both just appeared following my last post. Waddja do, goose the system to make me think I was crazy? :p

I can confirm that there is no issue. This is from the subscriptions table in our database:

    date subscriptions
    2010-09-16 1
    2010-09-17 6
    2010-09-18 5

Looks like your traffic sources are a bit volatile!

Here are the timestamps, Mr. Wood! :)

    2010-09-19 20:15:33
    2010-09-19 21:03:06
    (Server/Amsterdam time)

It was probably an issue of timing. At the time you checked, you probably hadn't generated sales. Don't worry, you're not crazy.... yet. :)
