Strange Paypal Problem

hi Guys, i am facing a problem while sending a payment from my account or while paying for paypal subscriptions.

When i am trying to send payment, i am getting this message

"This transaction cannot be completed..."

When i am trying to pay for subscription, i am getting following message

"To complete this payment, add another debit or credit card to your PayPal account or Update your Credit Card or Debit Card."

I checked the credit card and there is no issue with it.

Can anyone tell me what the actual problem may be?

 

I would think the problem might be. No direct debit in your bank maybe? I think contact to paypal might be reasonable as im not complelty sure. Hopefully someone else might help you

 

That is not the issue, there is money in the bank and credit limit is also not reached. Yea, i may call them tomorrow.

I just checked it, i am able to send payments from paypal balance but not using my CC.

 

In case of applying for subscriptions they ask for CC's. Thats what i have heard

 

I already have 50+ subscriptions in my account and my paypal is verified with valid CC from Standard Chartered bank. Been using it from 2 years but this is the first time i am facing this kind problem.

 

Yea, same issue i guess. After reading paypal reply on his thread, i sent payment to someone in US and surprisingly it went through. So looks like paypal is blocking payments from Indian paypal account to another Indian PP account.

 

yup! looks to me that they are making changes to their system for complying with RBI directives by denying payments between indian to indian paypal.
i think the from this month they may rollout this block. Already existing subscriptions would remain unaffected. Thats what i am thinking.

You might want to call them and let them know, they probably have some subscription limit on your account, you may not know about... They may have a limit on how many subscriptions per card, but I am only guessing of course...

 

Of course.I tried last night.. But I dont know whether I can receive the money or not

 

If more and more such restrictions are going to become a regular feature at Paypal, I guess we are in for a tough time ahead!
I guess it is also time to do some serious and collective representation to RBI... to back OFF!

never happen to me. If the CC or DC you use to verify not yet expire, then you shall call paypal directly

 

Looks like not only India is affected. Yesterday I tried to send PP from Switzerland to Malaysia and received the same "To complete this payment, add another debit or credit card to your PayPal account or Update your Credit Card or Debit Card." After deletion of card and re-addition I was able to do it (strange, huh..)

Today I have "To complete this payment, add another debit or credit card to your PayPal account or Update your Credit Card or Debit Card." with payment to India. And deletion + re-addition doesn't work.

The strange thing is, that when I try to reach support (Help page) it shows me "Help information isn't available in English yet. To access the Help Center, you'll need to change your language preference". Damn, what other language it should be? Looks like they changed something in the system without proper testing.

Now I'm even worried about safety of my card...

Maybe there are some limitations of amount in 24h. Try to send the lower amount or pay the next day.

 

Your best course of action is to contact paypal directly and ask them. They will probably explain what the problem is.
