Changing website url

I have changed Url of some of my pages to more search engine friendly urls.
for example dealsghost.com/flight_discounts_offers.html is changed to as per google's guidelines http://www.dealsghost.com/flight-discounts-offers.html
I understand because of this i will loose all my backlinks and need to create them from scratch again.
Also did not wanted google to mark new pages as duplicate so removed earlier pages and blocked them in robot.txt also.
But problem now is that its been 3-4 days but still these pages are not indexed. Sitemap was updated same day for this.

Any suggestions to get these pages indexed quickly? I am trying again to create backlinks manually by commenting on blogs and ezine articles.

I would recommend to make 301 redirect from old urls to new ones. This way you will keep all your links and get pages indexed very very quickly.

Thanks a lot for quick reply.
One quick question here...Mine is a shared hosting and pure html site. How to do 301 redirect there? sorry if it is dumb question. All references I saw were codes for ASP/PHP/JSP sites
For html it was mentioned I need to do it IIS Redirect way.
That can be done by hosting provider...right?

Don't worry it would be indexed, actually it takes some times if you make any major changes in your site like changes in Title tag, template, url etc.

301 redirect done at server level.. I have recently done same thin when I changed few of my URL.. But I made a 301 redirect from my old url to new one by editing my .htaccess file.. you may also like to do same... Contact any expert and do it asap, else those pages may be deindexed from Search engine.
I was hosting my blog on root domain (http://india143.org/ )but changed the it to my subdomain http://blog.india143.org/ , What I did is to redirect the directory. I am not expert but Did some search in Google and found very interesting article on how to edit .htaccess for redirection...
First you need to give your hosting detail only then anyone can help you more.

    Hi, dealsghost

I think 3 - 4 days might be not enough for search engines to pick up your "new" pages unless you have a really high PR(5 or above) for your domain. If you want a prompt re-index, I think building direct back links to your new pages would be the best channel.

    all the best,
