    Hello all,

I'm not a trader as such more of a long term investor in the stock market, I do pretty well up around 26% this year so far. Just wanted to hear if anyone else trades, invests in any markets?

I've traded forex on a demo acccount and I have been profitable for a while but it's so random and volatile. I have some rules I stick to when investing and I buy stock as if I was buying a website, I like top quality at knocked down prices.

Ya i trade gold mining companies shares from time to time . Not a great profit thou since I'm not willing to invest to much atm . It does take a lot of time to trade shares and besides you can't compete whit big guys like Barclays . Forex might be nice if you're lazy and want to make a living but i find it more profitable to reinvest into things that I'm more familiar whit.

I trade volume VSA so I go with the current and the big boys that move price instead of trading against them and trying to swim up stream. I trade volume because it never lies and it never lags and if my trade went wrong it's because I join the party just as the croud left.

I did very well long term trading. Then I day traded but that's too crazy and stressful. Now I swing trade but with a daytrader's mindset that I've never been able to shake.

I trade every day using the realtime CMC trading platform based out of London and i also have DMA access platform with GNI and have been trading since 1989,mainly use the CMC for the last 5 years as i dont have to pay tax using a legal UK loophole so it seems logic to take advantage of this.Trading pot is currently up 85% in the last 12 weeks so have been taking some of the profit off the table.

No risker than spending $10k on PPC with the hope in turning a profit. I can control risk far more than you could with PPC advertising. I know how much I'll lose on every position I place you could could go into PPC affiliate marketing with $10K and realistically come out with zero!

I don't believe in day trading, I agree it's stressful and much more risker. I like to place a trade that I may be in for months of years, have my stops in place so I can walk away from my trading station and go out for the day. It takes an few hours a day to read WSJ and do some research and move stop losses to lock in more profit, I love risk free trading so I aim to move my stop loss to breakeven ASAP.

Whit your perfect grammar ? I highly doubt you understand the equity market . Let alone Forex witch requires quite a a lot of cash in order to get any profit .

I rarely hold any stock more than a week. Hence, I trade the "swing" but I monitor the 5-minute chart. The stocks I trade usually allow me to walk away for a while, too. That's when I work on my code or deal with my restaurants.

I trade 3 time frames but I never trade any single one they've all got to be pointing in one direction before I'll pull the triger. I only use lower time frames to get the best entry and exit prices. I also never chace price I set myself a price which I think would greatly under value the company and that's the point I'll buy back, I never guess a bottom I always wait for the bears to run out of steam and the bulls start fighting back and taking control of price.

Affiliate and Internet Marketing is a passion of mine along with Finance and Economics.

Never start with forex, period! Learn to trade first see if you can be profitable trading stocks before you trade something as wild as currency.

Is great if you have the patience and money for it. However I do prefer making money from businesses than from stocks.

I do investments and they go well as I keep very conservative view on things. Find undervalued businesses, invest and have the patience for it to reach the goal you set. And never ever get feelings into that money you put. When they are invested they are gone. You might get more money back, you might get less but you never get THAT money back.
