My PayPal has a negative balance because someone purchased something and got their money back. I'm thinking about just leaving it and not using it again... No credit cards, bank accounts, or anything are attached (I removed them). What will happen?
How much is the balance? If it's not a massive amount then nothing will happen and you'd be fine with just leaving it.
Paypal won't let you create another. This kind of things happens when people spend their profits right away, which is irresponsible business. One should always expect refunds and have the money available just incase.
Ohh! Did you remove the credit card after you were in negative balance? If you did then they can probably charge you credit card - not sure though. Looks like you've got yourself into a spot of bother.
They wont charge it... but like I said it's bad business to spend the profits before the 60 day grace period...
Yes I removed it before the negative balance came into effect. I will no longer be using PayPal, so I just want to make sure they can't charge my credit card.
Well if you removed it before then you're probably safe. I doubt that they'll take any further action for $400, they have bigger fish to fry.
Someone sent me $400 and I withdrew it to my bank account. A couple days later they filled a dispute and PayPal gave them their money back.
Which means they won the case, but will never see their money since your account is empty, and its strange that they would side with the buyer after a couple days, since paypal takes weeks to settle a dispute.. Seem's like your not being truthful. Remind me not to buy anything from you...
This happened 4 weeks ago. I'm not going to be exact with my dates, just trying to give you guys a general idea of what happened. Weeks, days, years, or months don't matter in this case.
"Someone sent me $400 and I withdrew it to my bank account. A couple days later they filled a dispute and PayPal gave them their money back." Anyways your way of doing business, stinks. Thanks for giving us a heads up...
Who cares if I said days, weeks, or months; it doesn't make a difference. I'm just trying to give you guys a general idea of what happened. Can you please leave now?
Now your saying I scammed someone? I coded and designed a website for someone. A couple days after I finished it they paid me, than I sent the files. A couple days later they filled a PayPal dispute, without sending me an email or private message. I explained my case to PayPal and I was suppose to provide shipping information for the transaction. Now how I'm I suppose to provide shipping information for a website? Please leave.
Whatever dude, that was a reply to geek, and how do we know if you scammed or not, you're the one with a negative account... And if that was the case, paypal always stresses to ship to a confirmed address. Which means make sure your buyer has a verified address, then ship his his website on a cd... not doing so will only set yourself up for failure...
