Combination of: index.htm , index.html , index.shtml , index.php

For the same domain "mydomain.com" I made different index pages (index.htm , index.html , index.shtml , index.php) with the same content, but different sales processes, offering my product in various marketing portals like clickbank, shareit, tradebit, paydotcom etc..

Now I wonder, how that will affect seo and search results?

I plan more like index1.php, index2.htm and so on, will these be pages like my product.html, or is the "index" in it of importance here?

    Thanks for enlightenment,
    Dan from Germany

Yeah, please name the filename appropriate. Index filename should only be for the frontpage/index of the website.

Why on earth would you do such a thing? If these are simply PPC/CPM landing pages and you want to use different ones, don't use default documents. Create non-default document pages like example.com/my-product-1.html.

You're creating pages that contain VERY similar if not identical content. Doing so is not going to help you from and SEO perspective, only hurt you.

Thanks so far for your comments, appreciate it!

Now I have to emphasize, that "mydomain.com" is a name in a marketing niche, only appropriate for one product. The salespages are the same for all .index pages, except of the payment button. Only ONE product here.

Explanation: I started with a normal salespage: "mydomain.com" , leading to the index.html, of course and registered it with an affiliate marketplace. It's an info product, so I gave 50% commission. Many sales! So I decided to sell it on my own portal, UMC, in order to cash the full price, without paying commissions. Visitors I sent to my site should not see the affiliate offer! If I sent them to "mydomain.com/myproductdirect.html, visitors would wonder, what's on the mainpage, then sponsoring their spouse or what, commission byebye ... So I created "mydomain.com/index.shtml for 100% profit. Hard to get traffic for this one, few sales! So I decided to create another one for clickbank. Better 50% of a lot than 100% from nothing, right? To get approved by clickbank I created "mydomain.com/index.php". Bang, many sales!

So all this was not planned from the beginning, it evolved. For new projects I plan to buy different domains for the same product on different market places. But the old product index pages are spread all over the internet, not a good idea to delete them all, I still have sales, but wonder, if I can improve this existing index pages mess, instead of "doing it correctly".

    Thanks for your ideas,
    Dan from Germany

stop bothering about the SEO , cuz it almost sounds Blackhat technique having multiple pages with the same content. Try stuffing all the products you wanna sell into one place.
