it benficial for the hosters they can use their profit margin cumulaitve to its actuall price they fluctuate it
The only way you can actually believe how awful 1&1 are is to make the mistake of signing up to them then trying to leave (probably when you realise they're crap and stuff doesn't work as well as you know it should). That's when you get sucked into the event horizon and into the pit of despair that is their billing department.
