I have created a php.ini file with "zlib.output_compression = On" and placed it in the root directory of my wordpress site. Where else do i have to place it exactly for it to work good?
In theory it should work where it is but sometimes the webhost will prevent anyone from using their own php.ini files. Probably best to raise a ticket with them to check.
I allready did. They told me to place it in the root directory and every sub folder it should count for. I have now placed it in the root directory and in the wp-content folder, but i have no idea if it shoud go in any other folder.
