    best way to get backlinks is do social bookmarking for your website as well as post in high pr forums with signature links and blog comments on high pr and most importantly link exchange with related websites

    I would be careful with link exchanges and purchasing links from high PR sites. Google frowns upon these activities. Obviously, some of the major directories such as BOTW, Business.com, Yahoo etc ... are acceptable. Just choose carefully!

    Can someone go in depth about the process of social bookmarking. Is this simply submitting your URL to a site such as Digg?

    Here is what you should follow:

    1. Create HIGH QUALITY and interesting content and make around 10 articles post on your forum/blog.
    2. In 11th Article, make a post where you can give few back links to some other famous sites in your niche.
    3. Let them know about it.
    4. They will say "thank you" , you will get a new friend. And I am sure they'd do the same for you :).

    A better linkbuilding method is through three way links but this is time consuming. If you need a quicker back link, I would suggest article submission and social bookmarking.

    With high PR blog comment,high PR Forums and Link Exchange are the easiest and non paid option to get quality backlinks.It is not necessary to paid for get quality back-link.
