Google has officially announced that site speed is included in their ranking qualifications. Although they have formally included speed with their ranking factor, the search engine giant assured that it doesn’t carry as much weight as the relevance of a page. The company says that less than one percent of search queries have been affected by the change.

    very very old news.

Its a very minor ranking factor at that. only worry about it if there is no way to compete on backlinks

"slow sites used to get penalised by search engines".....so if you are not getting traffic from search then you probably wont get a higher PR......search engine traffic is a major factor in determining PR
