Are blog comments good for SEO?

As well as branching into SEO of my own sites, I do a lot of site building for other companies. These companies use wordpress, and they always ask me to turn off / remove comments entirely.

What are other people's experiences with allowing/disallowing comments on your blogs and do you think they can ultimately improve or hurt your SEO, and what steps if any can be taken to manage your comments if you do use them?

 

only do follow blogs are good for Google Ranking else there is no more benefits of Blog commenting

 

I get that dofollow comment links on external sites can help, but I am wondering if people have a preference to having comments enabled or disabled on their own sites.

 

from my research mixed links can get you higher ranks.

Instead of reporting harmless content to mods, how about you answer this poor souls question. Not everyone has time in their day to browse a over abundant amount of categories. Sounds to me like he is looking for reviews of commenting in blogs for SEO purposes. People answered, hence its a review.

To answer your question, yes commenting on blogs that contain no rel="no follow" is beneficial as long as your comment link is related to your website. I honestly think Google does give some weight to no follow links if the links are natural and related to one's site. I mean, what if every uses nofollow as a standard. That would mess up Google's algo a bit I would think.

 

If we comment on do follow blogs then we get benifits otherwise there is no benifits..

 

Commends are feedback. by which we can obtain our sites popularity.

I agree with almost everyone here, if you comment in dofollow blogs especially those who let you putting links (and dofollow) it will gives us advantage.

Not really sure how proven this method in order to bring your site to the next level. It's comment on the blog count as a backlink?

 

IMO, disallowing external links wont harm your site but it can definitely harm the other sites whose links are present there in your site in form of external links.

 

Definitely Blog comments Plays and out standing role in promote any site but make sure blog is fo high PR and it's dofollow and it will be more easier for you if blog is auto approval.

 

Just got info that make sure you leave quality feedback or comment on other site.
