I'm not entirely sure but I have seen a few people saying that if Google catches you buying links you will be penalised.
Yes but if Google catches you then otherwise how Google knows that link is paid or free. Google Bot simply crawls on the link pages and indexes the links and contents of the page etc but bot have no idea that links on that page are paid or complementary. So IMO it's too hard for a bot to find paid links.
google's weird double standards about what's blackhat or whitehat. They sell links themselves (i.e. adwords) and want you to promote their paid links (adsense) In any case, as far as I know I don't think google can really tell if it's a paid link or not. (Then again, there might be some paid links that have unique coding from the text link services you might buy into? Can Google detect this? Not really sure).
Those links via adwords are not direct nor dofollow. Many difference I would say. If you are selling for advertisement purpose not to play around with Google's Algo SEO then no prob. Make it nofollow.
I think buy blogroll is fine, but don't too much. If you buy link from broker, Google may be can track links paid or not.
Technically, yes. Buying one way, non-nofollow, backlinks is a no no. However, it is very, very common for people to do it, so it's kind as accepted as common practice.
Buying any links is bad unless nofollow assigned to it. Save your money and do it the right way for good ranks which are permanent.
yes .this is one type of black hat method but if you want to buy then buy theme based link. One client has shopping site but buying link from edu site...so if Google caught you then your site go down from SERP page.
i think buying blogroll is fine.. right? if i buy and set the links to no follow, can it still help my serp and rankings to increase? or only do follow links works for the SERP..
Go search for the Top Viagra sites and check their links... Most of their links are coming blog roll but they are still on top of the serps for high paying keyword...
