That is not true! Maybe your friend simple made a joke! :) Google will update pagerank, only question is how soon, because recently I read some article that said that Google does it just 4 times a year, is that a true or not, who knows ...

Google dont have much interest in PR update again, I think they are going to reduce the number of time they update PR in a year, if they are not going to stop updating it.

Google PageRank Update Schedule – 2010

Second PR Update 31st June – 30th July
Third PR Update 31st September – 30th October

I think the statement "Google will stop updating page rank" is not correct. Maybe they are not going to updating 4 to 5 times a year, It maybe reduce.

I don't. I hope it's true. Tbh, I can't believe they let it go this long. The internet would be a better place without it, and as an SEO and webmaster, would make my job a lot easier. :p

Whether Google wants to admit it or not, the invention of pagerank only aided in comment spamming.

There would also be a lot less waste of internet space. Just look at all the useless tiring threads created about this very topic. Sickening.

if it is true. Then all site pagerank will become 0. Otherwise won't good or fair for any of the site

So, if one day you saw all sites become 0 on pagerank, you know the day is come
