Want to Learn JAVA

    Before some months i posted a thread here about Learning PHP and i got good replies, and now i am good in PHP.

    Now i am going to learn JAVA for my final year project. But in JAVA there are lots of topics. I am completely newbie to Client Side Programming language.

    I want to develop application in JAVA. What are all i want to learn ??

    Do i need to learn these...

    Core JAVA
    JAVA Beans
    Applets
    Servelets

    or ???

    Please help me with this...

    I think you should learn javascript if you want to learn client-side.

    Javascript is the standard and there are thousands of free scripts out there to try and therefore to learn from.

    dude, there is difference between JAVA and JAVASCRIPT !


    JAVA IS OOP a.k.a OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING , AND THATS WHAT HE is looking for to build an application for his final project.


    @gr8webseller's: dude just search at google: JAVA OOP ebook
    u will find tons , grab one and learn

    and I would suggest something for ur final project,
    do something related to Artificial Intelligence.
    like Character recognition using Neural Network.
    thats was my graduation project from computer engineering department (ARABIC CHARACTER RECOGNITION).
    IT WAS Fully implemented using JAVA.
