the child marriages are a quite a menacing issue in the under developed and developing nations in addition to these Islam nations. At least other nations (developing/under-developed) have tried to act with laws in place but in the Islam nations the status is still bizarre. Because of the total male dominance the women have a very less to say and this is the other reason for these sort of horrible marriages still exist.

The girl is lucky to get divorce, if she was under even a higher rate cruel guy, she might had to experience this torture for life time.

6 months child married to 25yr old is a little better to hear, as at least the child will not go under any torture (if sex is out of topic). If there is sex and torture involved then there is no difference. I have seen some instances where the marriage is taken place not for sexual reasons but to make some of their relatives happy, like some one is on death bed and wishes to see their grand daughter marriage, the marriage is conducted even when the child is 4 - 5 months old and she is divorced with in a couple of years and they live separated happily, if that's the instance as mentioned above - its at least ok to hear about.

I am not supporting child marriage at any costs let sex be involved or not. One leads to other.

Its very important to educate the lower classes, as this is where this child marriage nuisance is on a higher scale.

I know why you are upset.
You are upset because you have no basis to justify unlike I can - No Indian religious scripture nor any book of law advocated what veerappan did. That notorious smuggler was killed by the law and his accomplices are being tried in courts of law (not in streets unlike in muslim countries). As for Shiney Ahuja, I will let you decide after watching this video Nevertheless, his case will be pursued till its logical conclusion.

Poor chap, I pity you all practicing islam for you are born without enough social, legal mechanisms to put things in place nor do you have the privilege to try them in an acceptable legal system. If this were to have happened in a muslim country, Veerappan would be walking free and planning bomb attacks on India or another country and Shiney Ahuja would have been stoned to death without giving him his righteous fair trial.

If there is any reason, this is it. That's why muslims are where they are 1400 years ago while the world has marched forward. You just proved why islam is a bunch of nuts

Ha ha bulshitt. You say veerappan was accused by the Indian people? So is Osama Bin Laden, if Saudis were fine with his act, he would be living here and not hiding in the caves of Afghanistan. But ur judging Islam on his methods....lol why don't you tell us all how you got into the practise of making god from clay and worshipping it and believing in it.
I see how you seem to ditch the question all the time...perhaps too embarrassed? maybe your Hindu forefathers told you tht they ill cut your neck if you dont be a hindu?

Whether I make a clay image of god or of stone, I would still be worshiping a god which is mine (a hindu god) unlike you muslims who pray in the direction of kaba which is built by Vikramaditya, a hindu ruler of the erstwhile Arabia. That's okay, who do you worship by the way? A child molester or his creation, the imaginary allah? Where does he live, if he at all existed? Inside Kaaba built by Hindus?

Veerappan isn't accused but dealt with decisively. See? That's the benefit of not having islamic law. We don't need to let off criminals
What have you done to Osama bin laden, if you are so sure of his criminal behavior, by the way?

I am starting to suspect that this "Smith" idiot may just be a troll. He just tried to compare me (an Australian Atheist) to Joseph Fritzl (an Austrian Catholic) .... It's a little too stupid to not be deliberate.

That and look at some of his awful typing; "bulshitt" and "gnna" and "r" all just sound like "TROLL" to me.

If you're gonna be blabbering in this forum, please get your facts straight; MUSLIMS DON'T WORSHIP THE KA'BA We pray TOWARDS the direction of Ka'ba and worship Allah s.w.t
Nope, we do not worship Muhammad (PBUH) (it is a major sin to worship him or anyone else for that matter). If you call Allah imaginary, then what about your God? You say still worship a god which is yours, so where exactly DOES your God live? in those clay models you make? half monkey half elephant figures? lmfao.

    oh yeah, suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure
Go read up some stuff, it was re constructed by Ibrahim*
    Inside Kaaba built by Hindus

I'm guessing English is your second language, so I'll explain this for you.

Slang does not mean to type poorly or leave out letters; a slang word is a common term used in place of a real term. For example, in Australia, "G'day" is slang. (People don't actually use it, it's more of a stereotype, but it serves the purpose when we're discussing definitions.)

What I think you mean is an abbreviation - which is when a person shortens a word; for example "Mister" is abbreviated as "Mr.", or "Celsius" is abbreviated as "C".

Now, "bulshitt" is neither an abbreviation (it has the same number of letters as the original and correct word) or slang.

Also, how exactly do you think I defended Christianity? I don't like Christianity. You still haven't explained how you compare an Australian Atheist to an Austrian Catholic. You do know that Austria and Australia aren't the same place, right?

Lastly, what I believe proves Islam is evil is much greater than some stupid kid on DP who has been here two weeks and already made a total laughing stock of himself. Child marriage, wife beating, homophobia, inequality, laws against women driving, female circumcision, stoning and whipping people in public are just a few of the reasons I hate Islam.

All your crappy typing proves is that you're some stupid kid who thinks "gnna" is somehow better than "gonna" despite the fact that it looks like shit to read and only 12 year olds on Facebook should ever abbreviate in such a retarded way.

I still think you're a troll at this stage. You cannot possibly be this stupid in real life. You'd have drowned in the bath by now if you were.

Could anyone from Islam world give some reasons as to why this is encouraged in your countries.

For example I once read somewhere that it was okay for a man to marry more that one wife in Islam because at the time women could not support them selves individually and I think because the women population was very high. This was a way to help women escape poverty and find new families.

I think they're has to be something behind it (FOR THE GREATER GOOD) as to why it is acceptable for a 6 months baby to get married or even a 12yr old. I can't really see any man being interested to marry a 3 months baby! for let's say sexual appetite etc. It could be just to help out around the house.

SEO, some of us have a theory that the virgins are actually goats.

Googl, yes - women in Islam can only marry one man, but men can marry four women. It isn't just about poverty, it happens in all "classes" of islamic society.

This is really hopeless thing and the person who married her should be hanged and the higher authority should also be killed coz this thing is not valid in any of the county of the world its illogical.

No child on this earth knows what is marriage and how can the girl's parents allowed this marriage? And the man is also foolish how he can marry such a small girl? who doesn't know anything of this world.

You recalled wrong. The father of Aishah (R), Abu Bakr, said these words in relation to his daughter's marriage to the Prophet:

"There are three things I cherish most: a look at your face, to spend my wealth on you and that my daughter is thy wife."

Doesn't sound forced at all, unless one has a diminutive capability of a cockroach. And the Prophet (P) married Aishah (R) in Makkah, long before his migration to Madinah and long before he became a "feared warlord" [sic]. Which is again another lie, since the Prophet (P) was never feared, but loved, by his followers.

Aishah reported that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, I love you more than I love myself, and I love you more than I love my family, and I love you more than I love my children. When I am at home and I think of you, I am unable to contain myself until I can come to you and look at you. When I think about my death and your death, I know that when you enter Paradise, you will be raised to where the Prophets are. But, if I enter Paradise, I am afraid: will I be able to see you?"

So, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did not answer him at all until Jibril revealed to him: "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, then they will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Grace - of the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!" [an-Nisa, 4:69]

    [Silsilat al-Ahadith as-Sahihah; #2933]

Your ignorance of Islam is so palpable that it is so very easy to poke holes in whatever shit you spew about Islam.

Your quoting the father and then stating that it doesn't sound forced at all. Are you deliberately implying that it is only the father's consent that is required, or did you do it inadvertently?

I am a bit confused about this part and what you intend to point at with this. So, the man tells the messenger that he can't love his children as much as he loves the messenger and that he gets restless unless he walks out to see him wherever he is. So, was the messenger so good looking and attractive that he was attracting men?

    Sounds suspicious.

Your (muslims') ignorance of humanity, harmonious living, human dignity is also equally palpable.
