How long did it take for your website to get 1000 Vistors/Day? For me, getting 1000/day seems a pretty hard goal.... still working hard on it... Can anyone shares how long and how did they get up to 1000 vistors /day?

I agree. Just used techniques like articles and digg and stuff, and make it a routine. Add digg buttons to your page and etc., and make it a routing, and you should see uniques a day going up.
This entirely depends on what the site is about. If you're giving out something free or have hilarious content for example, it'll spread rapidly through word of mouth & 1000 visitors a day is easily possible to achieve within 24 hours.
I agree with eXe. It definitely depends on what your site is about and what kind of people it attracts. I have some sites that attract have 1000s of visitors a day and some just a few. Some a highly targeted at professionals looking to do one particular thing (low traffic) and others are targeted a teenagers wasting time (there's a lot of them).
gettign 1000 uniques a day can be done just by advertising your site in free directories and via myspace, getting a few link exchanges done and then keep martketing. its not easy but its deffiantly doable, im aiming towards 10 000 uniques a day on one of my sites by the end of the year
1.can you mention name of directories which are giving you most traffic ? 2. Is it legitimate to get traffic from myspace ? i dont think their TOS allow it .
i have a myspace resource site www.myspaceconstruct.com it took 1 week to hit 1000 uniques a day and it now averages 1300 uniques a day and growing
I have an video entainment site with hilarious stuff...i already worked hard on it for couple months..but the goal still seems to hard to reach...i dont know why...help.
It took a search engine of mine almost 2yr before I stared to see 1000+ a day. I added 3 little thing to help the traffic to come back. I added an add to favorites script, Make my site your home page script and an email marketing newsletter. These 3 simple things allowed me to bring back traffic time and time again.
