Google shows different results on two devices for the same keyword why?

I have noticed this in the past but did not give it much importance. I have come to the idea that google does not show the same results on two different devices no matter what.

What I do is clear cache and cookies in the same time on both devices, being my desktop computer and the other is my mobile phone, so two different browsers.

When I search for a specific keyword I can see one of my pages indexed on 2nd position on my desktop and 3rd position on my mobile device.

    Has anyone experienced this before?

I haven't noticed this. It's interesting. I'll try it later.

First you have to clear your cookies then check your ranking. Your ranking also depend upon data center.

Even if you have cleared your cache and cookies, also make sure you have disabled web history in your Google account settings.

If you use the mobile version of Google on your phone, make sure location settings are disabled. If they aren't, cell tower and/or GPS info will alter the results based on location.

    Cheers
