    Hello friends,
    as we all knows there is so many sites on the internet which are providing free domains to us. from them some are very popular like:
    .co.cc
    dot.tk

    but I just want to know that really free domains are good for commercial sites or not.
    If yes how ?
    If not why ?

    Extensions are helpful only to a certain extent and they are not the sole factor in deciding the success of any site.
    A good site with excellent content and well networked will get success... irrespective of them being on .com or co.cc! :)

    I thnk No

    I have got Free Domain but in SEO backlinks requesting some websites are not allow for the free Domain sites. This kind of situation we are facing problems. Your website have new ideas and website content good you will be success, But I think you need to face other commercial websites in the Internet. So in your Work you need to think what domain is best for you.

    Not for business or any serious site that you care about.

    Those are not domains but sub-domains and co.cc now has a reputation for spam and junk sites. Bad choice. .tk also.

    The biggest problem is that you have no legal rights to your sub-domain. You can lose it and then you lose all your links and traffic. Get a real domain for $10 a year and you can keep if forever.

    I really don't think they are.
    People like seeing .com,.net etc. rather than the free domain options available.

    from a customer point of view there can be 2 different cases:

    a tech savvy customer wouldn't buy from a store that can't afford a paid domain. never.
    most non tech savvy customers wouldn't notice the difference, as long as they purchase during their first visit. If you hope they come back and buy then forget about them as they'll never remember your domain.

    I believe that most customers wouldn't remember anything except .com or geographical tlds such as .de, .fr, .es, .it, .dk etc

    If you are not interested to grow your business and to receive a high page rank, it's not a problem, but some directories will not allow you to have those kind of domains approved. You better spend few bucks for a regular domain.

    Come on!!!- domains are usually around 10-15/year. What kind of business do you want to have if you are not investing 10 for it's proper online presence.

    I think that it's not good for business.
    Think for yourself where would you buy an mp3 player @ buymp3players.com or mp3players.co.cc?

    you get what you pay for. You use a 'free' domain, expect the standard of customer service and support concomitant with what you paid.

    If you're planning to use free domains for commercial sites or E-commerce it can be a little bit risky. I've once developed a website where it involves small transactions via online credit cards payment services. I use to sell e-books. Suddenly, one morning when I was about to open my PC to get hooked, the company which provided me the free domain seem to had a problem with their server or something. I couldn't open my own site including there site too. I suspected this problem to happen that involves free domains. It was down almost a week. After that, all was back to normal. That's the risk if you're using free domains. I'm not saying free domains are not good and the problem happened only once. Now, untill today everything seems well, but I don't sell e-books online anymore I just post articles etc on my blog, thats all. I've been using the free domain from .co.cc for almost half a year and I'm also able to make some money out of it without spending a dime. I make money via Google Adsense and manggaAd. I don't get paid much though but at least I can see some money pouring in. If you plan to hit 6 figures per month, a very good content is needed to attract viewers. Cheerio. U can pay a visit to my site at http://www.worait.co.cc. TQS.

    For a commercial venture I would not recommend free domains mostly because of appearances. For sites that do not influence your income drastically I can't see anything wrong with using a free domain.

    Paid domains are definitely better for commercial use:

    1) Reputation;
    2) Much easier for visitors/costumers to remember your domain;
    3) Your project stability;
    4) Full control;
    5) SEO;
    6) And so on ;)

    Free domains are very good for learning and practice.

    So practice on free domains and earn money by using paid domains!

    Cheers!
