I think Bing has potential but it will be impossible for anyone to take over Google. Google is too well established, too secure and too popular for any company to compete. They were simply too late in the game.

It is not very easy to optimize your site for two search engines i.e. google and bing simultaneously.

My website isn't listed under any keywords on Bing yet. There indexing still seems slow.

Excellent point. Also, I think Bing will quickly gain ground as people update their computers. I just bought a laptop - bing was default search on the browser, and everything I nstalled tried to make bing my default search engine. While computer techie people will go through the trouble to change it to their preferred search site, many "normal" users will just stick to the recommended search - Bing - because they either don't know how to change it or are too lazy to find the preferences menu.

Also - I am told by friends that smartphone apps are changing settings to make Bing the default search tool.

This is the same strategy Microsoft used to overtake Netscape as the default browser years ago.

This has not happened over the past year.
A Microsoft computer forcing a Microsoft search engine. How strange?
Has not happened so far. To the contrary, people will be looking for Google and will question where it is. Since Bing has never gone anywhere, it's obvious people are switching it to Google.
Only Windows phones and iPhones. Android phones, which are the most used, and all the others use Google.
And Microsoft was fined over a billion dollars for it along with US federal oversight for 10 years.

google is far better than itself? I'm assuming you meant to say it's better than "Bing or Yahoo"
