Ohio outsourcing ban to India

    India has conveyed its “serious concern” to the US over Ohio’s ban on offshore outsourcing of government business and a hike in US visa fees for professionals, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said here today.

    “We have expressed our serious concern to the US through a communication,” he said, adding that the measures on outsourcing and the increase in fees for H-1B and L-1 visa were “regressive.” Talking to reporters after the award ceremony of the Engineering Export Promotion Council here, Sharma said India is examining whether there is any violation of the WTO agreement on services.

    About freaking time, I don't know why this isn't a universal ban that all states haven't enacted by now.

    Good for US citizen but Bad for US companies, who give outsourcing for India

    Also It will not affect Indian freelancers in any kind :)

    Even its bad for Indians because many companies takes work from Ohio and it will stop and now the companies will be in loss. It will create bad situation in India.
