I have an account with CJ and haven't been able to locate the product datafeed .csv files for merchants. In ShareASale.com they have a link which takes you there directly, but I can't seem to locate them in CJ. Do you have to contact the merchants individually to obtain them, or is there a page to go to that I'm just overlooking? Ian
To setup datafeeds in CJ you need to make $10,000 in total sales (sales, not commissions) at least 1 month, so you can request to setup datafeeds. If you do not have $10,000 in sales yet you can request the setup but you will pay a one time fee of $200,00 - also when you setup the datafeed you need to select only 5 of the advertises you promote for beginning, as soon you increase sales you can request more.
Some advertisers offer free datafeed. Just email them and they will tell you how to set up. I know buy.com has it.
I have a relationship with a vendor and they supplied me with access to the data directly. I was not a CJ member when they approched me. So as was posted, I think in some cases, it's dependant on the vendor. I have no idea how other feeds work.
yes, some few vendors provide directly datafeeds. but this is an exception rule: (maybe 1% of the advertisers).
That's good to know. To have to post the products all manually would definitely be time consuming, so I'll contact a few of the vendors to see if I can get access to them. I know adding the feeds to a couple of my sites from the ShareASale.com system made a huge difference in my commissions, but I have a couple of vendors that work with CJ that I'd like to set up similar stores with. I'll contact them directly and hopefully they'll work with me so I can get access to them. I appreciate the feedback from everyone, thank you! Ian
I took advantage of the provided feeds csv file and now have a nice section on my website where I list locally all of their products with nice internal keyword rich keywords and such. I hope it pays off. It's only been about a week since I set it up. I hope I can find ten more vendors like these folks. I have a personal rep and tech support people that talk to me on the phone and give great advice.
It will definitely pay off. One thing I can tell you is that the organic traffic you'll receive will surprise you, and I think you'll notice a big increase in revenue as well if you've set up your pages to convert your traffic. Good luck, and I hope it works out nicely for you. Ian
We have around 20 CJ merchants and ALL our merchants offer FREE feeds outside of CJ and most even offer datafeed store builder tools that let you build product pages in about a minute without any special software or datafeed programming skills. Free Datafeed Directory http://www.5staraffiliateprograms.com/IPC-datafeeds.html I have not kept this page totally up to date as we have so many new merchants and also they arent sorted by network. But offhand some of our CJ programs with free feeds are National Geographic store, Domestications, The Company Store, Foosmart, EverythingHome, Animal Den and bunch more. All are listed here: http://affiliate-directory.5staraffiliateprograms.com/. Scroll down because most of the PartnerCentric programs are on CJ and all have free feeds. Oh also just realized one of my top programs, zZounds just launched a CJ program and they have a feed. I need to update their info too. Hope this helps and best of luck!
