I have a few BANS sites and they could be so much better. I was hoping to find a DPer that is good at BANS and ebay affilaite program to tell me how to make the sites better. I basically need some consultantion.

If you know BANS sites please pm me and we can set up a time to IM.

    Thank you

Can't help you directly with consultations, but my feeling is that these days it is VERY hard to successfully promote BANS-based sites. I think Google can spot them a mile off, and if they are not VERY well supplemented with good content (content that people will actually look for and find useful!) then it will drop right out of the SERPS. I have moved on to some other scripts nowadays, one of them I am promoting in my signature link, one I wrote myself (WordBay - it's free) the other one I am not telling anyone about ;) But if you want to stick with BANS then you've got to get your mind OFF the whole problem of selling things and start REALLY considering what comprises decent content. If what you are writing is useful and solves people's problems they WILL find your site and they WILL follow your buying advice. We normally try so hard to put products under people's noses that we neglect the content.

Now, I wish I would follow my own advice more often, too :)

Groovy, isn't it? It's not my script, but I am really interested in its potential, otherwise I wouldn't promote it. I have some sites using a similar script (now no longer supported), they do nicely, and I have high hopes for this one too. I think there is currently room in the SERPS for mashup sites, Google doesn't seem to mind them!
