No, I meant $10,000 per month, after one year. :) But it can be done. I have compiled a very good list of niches, domains, and other ideas. I intend to build some very high quality websites around them.

Whatever happened to this business? After this paragraph you discussed your Internet plan but never mentioned the luxury product again.

It's on "hold." I should have mentioned that it will probably take me about $20,000 to get that one off the ground (at least to do it the right away).

I was looking for something (such as Adsense) to make that $20,000. I originally only wanted to make $1,000 - 2,000 a month with Adsense so that I could get the import business off the ground but seeing some of other people's success, I am confident I can duplicate their success.

If I only make a small amount of money, I can simply go back to the import business and the sell that product.

Even more, since I intended to sell my product online after I got going, the knowledge I gain here should give me a head start on that.

OK, that makes sense. I thought the import biz sounded more "concrete" as a profitable business idea than becoming just another net wannabe. Hmm, that might sound harsh, but not meant that way. I'm a net wannabe, too. : )

    Good luck with your goals!

It is more concrete, I plan on doing it almost no matter what. I can do both at the same time. But the information I learn here will help me a lot with the import business when I take it online. And this will help me raise money for it. I almost 100% certain I can at least drum up $1,000 - $2,000 per month by next year (although my goals are much higher) with Adsense, that will help a lot in getting the business going.

    Thanks!

well, setting a goal is a good thing, which I've regreted I didnt do it last time. I was happy with the money earned on that time for a long period, without thinking of expanding and growing it.

Some two years later, I finally realised that I should set a goal and achieve it. And when the goal has been reached, set another goal. This is what I am doing now :)

So good luck with your business and have a good day in DP :D

I did set some loose goals when I started to play with Adsense. This goal is now reached and I'm making high-mid xxx$ from Adsense per month now. Now I'm creating two year plan to work with. It includes new ideas, new domains, improving old sites etc.
Hope I'm there when two years has gone...

Good luck to you with your plan! :D

Yeah, I haven't been here long and I've already grown tired of the "how many websites it does take ot get rich!?" or some similar thread.

Some people seem to have zero common sense.

I find that it's best to constantly remind yourself of the goal and take it seriously 100% of the time. Too often do people toss their goals to the back of their mind and lose the momentum they had at the start.

A Donkey walked down a path until he came to a fork in the road. A Monkey stood in the middle of the fork.

"Which way to Nirvana?" asked Donkey.

"To the left is a winding path filled with danger and tribulation," said Monkey. "But at the end is Nirvana."

"To the right," continued Monkey, "is a straight path, paved with gold and luxuries. At the end is $1,000,000."

"Which way should I go?" asked Donkey.

"Don't be an ass," replied Monkey.
