After yahoo and bing merged, this month my site well ranked in yahoo as compared to Google and very near (no. of keywords) to bing. What is the secret of this behavior of Yahoo or Yahoo algorithm?

Since Bing and Yahoo merged, Yahoo Site Explorer has suddenly found ~500 of my backlinks in the past 2 days. My Google SERPs completely bombed though.

If yahoo and bing can manage to successfully pool their resources and come up with a better method of ranking they might gain some market share and popularity. Whether they can do that or accomplish that is not known yet. I will be waiting to see how things develop between yahoo and bing. It's too early to tell yet.

Two giants coming together.. You can always expect better results.. Searches on Yahoo are getting better, but somehow people just don't like the feel of Yahoo or Bing and they still stick to Google to search stuff for them... Still a long way to go..

I was doing some research a short while back and noticed my sites were ranked in the exact same spot in both Bing and Yahoo. I am thinking this was because Microsoft just bought Yahoo or something (saw it on the news)..so I guess this is good, if your site is ranking well in Yahoo it will now rank well in Bing as well. Those two put together may actually be better traffic wise than Google.

Microsoft did not buy Yahoo! Yahoo!'s organic results are being powered by Bing. HUGE difference.

Even if Yahoo's results have improved, there won't be any huge change in the number of people using it, because regular users of Google still don't have a reason not to use Google! Well, users in the US may have a couple of reasons to use Bing/Yahoo over Google, but in the rest of the world Bing/Yahoo don't have anything to impress Google users and win them over.So it's gonna be a while before there's any kind of shift from Google to the other SE sites.

Thats of now, all Bing and Yahoo! have to do is just work on getting the other things that google DOESN'T have.
