While you're there, restarted the server locked (S82, S90, etc. ..)

    Guys,

It's good to hear that the test FTP works well, but we're not getting enough people trying to crash the server :D. I have only 4 users connected now, where is everybody else??

This is an open invitation to upload all you can on s8.filesonic.com!

    Please keep the feedback coming.

FTP works fine .... the problem is the server (S82, S90, etc.).

Gentlemen, after two weeks of observation statistics and earnings compared to their earnings from hotfile, I conclude that either robbed, or users of extracting the files and the buyer a premium account, simply do not want to use your services for the reasons a large number of errors on the site. I am not saying that it does not seek to introduce amendments, but it is happening far too slowly. Tell me honestly, if you are able to lead the service for faultless operation later this year? :)

There are a variety of reasons why your downloads could be lower at the moment, including premium status as you mention. Even so, as critical as one can validly be of FS's technical shortcomings it is not reasonable to accuse them of "robbing" you. Whatever other faults FS has, their integrity is beyond reproach.

    @banjowood
as to the solvency, you're right, honesty in this regard is impeccable, but what the statistics there is no certainty ;). If this is all okay, then the reason may be only a number of errors, which are also mentioned ... and everyone knows what's going on

Nope. Just logging in for the first time since early this morning. Will give it a try shortly. Thanks.

P.S. Sent you a PM last night on an issue I had with s90. Nothing urgent. I'm sure you're bogged down with the coders today. It would be cool if you could take a look at it when things quiet down though. Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Are you saying you lost files with the new FTP? That would really surprise me because it was coded with this problem in mind!

Please provide me with some more details.

    Thanks,

You are testing this server for technical purposes and later disable it? Or with this server will work constantly, until it is full, the links can be spread or they disappear. Sorry for broken language.

I think there's proof they are honest with the stats as well. Sadly, it is also true that everyone's stats are low. You're correct that the errors are a large part of the blame. Probably a third to half my files have been unavailable for a large part of this week. Not only will this sharply cut into one's download total because folk cannot download those particular files, but it will also discourage them from attempting to dl anything from FS.

FS has brought in new coders and is tackling the module from scratch. I know how many times this has been said in the past month and that it may sound hollow to many, but all the affiliates can do at this point is sit back and give FS some room until they can complete that work. They've promised progress by the weekend. Considering the commitment they seem to be making, I'm prepared to back off a bit until Monday or so. The recognition that there are fundamental flaws and not bugs which need to be patched is a big move on FS's part IMO.

But have they started earning yet? Referrals accumulated since the launch of FS will not appear in your queue until they begin to earn.

Can someone from FS perhaps explain how to use FTP? I upload via web and it seldom works. If FTP actually works I will start using it. Thanks.

    1. Download FileZilla. (http://filezilla-project.org/)
    2. Familiarize yourself with FileZilla. (Feel free to hit me with questions if needed as you read the FAQ and user's manuals)
    3. @ FileSonic, click on the "Upload" tab > from "Upload" page, click on the "FTP Upload" tab > enter the info on the FTP page into FileZilla and you're good to go.

    Thanks, banjowood.

To confirm, I've hired new 3 programmers recently (unfortunately, they can't all start right away because some have jobs now). I also got rid of the programmers who were responsible for many of the bad code. We definitely have a much more solid team now.

We're in the progress of rewriting many parts of the system, one module at a time. The last 2 days were dedicated to FTP. RU rewrite has begun (but it's more complicated). As for the download issues/instability, we're working on that right now. I'm hoping to have a long-term solution that would bring us as close as possible to 100% download uptime.

Will keep you guys posted as things progress.
