One of my sites will be adult oriented. No porn or nudity but the topics will cover adult themes. Pleasure, fetishes, etc..But it will be more of a community, and a guide on how to meet other people with these same interests, etc... What are the legal issues I may have? if any? Should I include an age verification page before entering the site at the very least?
I don't think that you will have any legal issues if you won't add age verification but there is also morality side. I think it would be moral that kids harder reach websites with such content.
I would recommend to a client asking this question that they do indeed provide for age verification. Letting a minor on a site like this is just asking for trouble. You do not need an angry parent creating bad will and possibly a law suit over allowing a minor to enter into your site.
Really it depends on where mind and managment of the site is and what country the site is hosted in and what type of content will be featured on the site. There are different rules for different content in different country's.
Would someone mind checking out the site and telling me what they think as far as Age verification? I don;t want to limit myself with advertisers etc...Again, I will have no porn or video or anything like that. And the content on there is really quick place holder stuff I put together to start designing the site. The site is only 4 days old so I want to see if I really have to worry about age issues and/or places like amazon affiliates etc...It is an adult site but it is not pornographic...It is also in its infant and experimental stage and not the finished product...But I would like to know what you think as far as age verification goes...etc...Thanks links not allowed to me yet...lol...how can I let someone see my site?
Its called bad parneting. Kids are dumb by nature until they mature. parents need to raise their kids the right way, rather then looking the other way.
