I have yet to even get a hop from any YouTube video, much less a sale...Somebody will probably come on after me and talk about how easy and beneficial YouTube marketing is, but I've busted my behind making videos, tagging them carefully and promoting via social media...Maybe 7-15 views a week and not even close to a sale...I've used videos from the vendor, my own videos, and hybrids of both...I'm about to throw in the towel...The only thing that has ever worked for me as an affiliate is PPC....

I dont use YouTube for one reason....

YouTube searches are not buyers. they go there for FREE information. If you want to make money on YouTube, you will have to do A LOT of convincing to the searcher to buy something and in my mind the only way to do this is to have a prof. copywriter write your script.

I have been in sales my whole life and the hardest thing to do is get someone to buy something when they want the info for free.

I did make some sales from YouTube but so not worth the time it took to create the videos, post and tag them. I made about $67 in commissions for about 20 hours of work total.

No matter how much you invest on video's you can't break the sales cap. I would suggest that you make a landing page. A free blog with some product description and your affiliate link. Youtube users are quite reluctant to tiny urls. Quite often they are spammy and virus links so yeah

    I agree with everyone.

Do you really think young folks watching Jonas Bros or Justin Bieber dancing on a YT video are going to be interested in your "make money online" Clickbank product?

Nope - YT is a free entertainment site full of causal watchers who's taking a break from something. Not buyers.

That's not the problem. The main problem is, like rjd1265, also mentioned.. The audience on youtube aren't buyers in general.

However, there are people who make many sales with youtube. It's about finding the right products to promote on youtube and targeting some sort of gem audience for it.

    My feeling is this:

Making a YouTube video for your blog or landing page is an outstanding idea and it helps with sales....but don't expect those sales to come from people watching on YouTube...

YouTube is a tougher crowd to convert but it can be done. If you design your videos like a landing page, and presell the products in the videos, they can be extremely powerful.. In essence, YouTube lets you create and air your own commercials to their viewers for free. It's all about making a good video and getting momentum behind it.

Have done a lot of tests with youtube and it works great. For couple of products. I also have few affiliates for my product who make at least 15 sales per month using youtube.

    Check my signature.

But, have in mind...youtube marketing does not work with 50 videos. You have to work hard.

It's really up to you. You could create thousands of these videos and do great. Or you could use other methods as well. Such as: Giving away free ebooks, article marketing, social bookmarking and building a community on your blog.

I think youtube is a good way to get more visitors to our landing page although I also believe that many visitors visit youtube look for free information, but at least we can put some attempts to attract at least 1% from total visitors to click on our landing pages to generate traffics and see whether they will end by buying one of our products. Recently, I'm still working hard on article marketing as I have earned several CB sales from writing some articles.

YouTube may be good for CPA offers, because they don't need to buy anything..

There are so many other ways you can promote other then through YouTube. Just do a quick search here on DP and you will find tons of great information in regards to online promotion tactics.

Youtube videos does work, and you can make a lot of money out of it.

Arguments such as "it doesn't have buyers traffic" are not valid. Sites such as google, yahoo, bing are free of charge, so you can also argue that people that use such sites are looking for free stuff.

I have personally generated a very nice income from Youtube. When I first started with Internet Marketing, I was promoting only via youtube, and was able to generate some pretty good money that way. However, it is not easy, you will have to upload 100's of videos per day to see consistent sales.

Another thing is, some products don't sell on youtube at all. You'd have to select a suitable product.

I don't think YouTube help a lot to make a sales. It is my tertiary option to try for a sale...
