SEO is a very broad subject - there are many ways to do it - some effective, some not. Some people use something called "Blackhat" techniques - these are against the terms of service of Google and other search engines, and could get your website penalized or even blacklisted from Google. Being blacklisted, means they REMOVE your site from Google completely, so no one will find your site searching. This can absolutely destroy an online business - DO NOT take this risk! I won't say that Blackhat stuff doesn't work - because it does, and it has its place. Many people set up affiliate sites to make a quick profit, and then move on - in this case it may be worth it, because you're not planning in keeping the site alive for very long. On the other hand, if you do plan to keep running your website for a long time, and you care about what happens to it... DO NOT USE BLACKHAT TECHNIQUES! It may work well in the beginning, but it will catch up to you.
