How am I supposed to know what server I am uploading to? How can I tell and change it maybe? I just use web upload and there are no server options and doesn't tell during the upload anywhere such as in the browser address line.

I uploaded a file 4 times and each time I try to test the download it says Bad Gateway. The address is showing s76 as being down. Is there any way of monitoring the servers better so you get warnings when there is a problem? It seems like they are always down and you guys have no idea.

Web uploads are still not working and still get Bad Gateway errors.

Do I have to reup every single file that is giving a bad gateway error or will all be fixed when the server is fixed? Also the files are showing the proper size in the file manager but downloaders are only getting partial files. What do we have to do there?

You don't need to reupload anything... As soon as the servers are good, all the files will be too.. Nothing is lost.

I would advise waiting for FS to re-boot the server.

Two weeks or so ago, there were many files which were uploaded corruptly when FTP was experiencing it's worst problems. I haven't seen the issue recently but that does not mean it cannot happen. I would dl the questionable files personally to verify their completeness. If they are corrupt, re-up.

Too avoid some of these issues in the future, you can up your files within a RAR'd archive with 3% Recovery. I find this extremely helpful.

Dear Filesonic, I WANT MY MONEY BACK! YOU HAVEN'T REPLIED TO MY PMs, EMAIL, NOTHING! Your service doesn't work AT ALL and I'm supposed to foot the bill for it? Give me a refund or I promise I will spend endless hours ruining your reputation on as many websites as possible. IS IT SO HARD TO GIVE 9 BUCKS BACK to a guy you basically stole it from? For a young scrub like me who works minimum wage you can't expect to rip me off for 9 bucks thinking I'm just gonna sit here and take it. I will make sure to spread my story as many places as I possibly can unless I get my money back soon. Ripoffreport is the least of what I plan to do.

Thanks for the info but I guess it happened again over the weekend to a bunch of files. I guess it's best not to use FS on weekends it seems. What is RAR'd archive with 3% recovery? Is it just a regular RAR archived file? So I should just use winrar and archive every file into a RAR archive before I upload and that helps?

S62 should be back up now!

Please go to FS from firefox, when u land on the web upload page, right click anywhere and click on "view page source" ... You will find a link somewhere with the number of the server. Please send me details ASAP!

    Thanks

I can't believe... You don't have simple script for rebooting servers? Or it's hardware problem? You must resolve it faster. Users don't want wait you manual restart...

Yes, by RAR'd I meant WinRAR. You have an option when creating an archive to "Put Recovery Record". If you then select the "Advanced" tab, you can adust the recovery value. Default is 1%, I suggest 3%.

Packaging your files like this will not provide any benefit if the upload itself is incomplete or corrupt, but is very useful for downloaders. The first request I make of any downloader when reporting a corrupt file is to attempt a recovery. If I exclude the recent FS FTP issues, 99% of the time the corruption occurred during the download. The recovery saves the downloader the time of downloading the file again and saves me the time of re-upping a file which was good in the first place.

How am I blackmailing you? I asked nicely for a refund, no response. What do I have to do to get a refund? Look, I paid for a service = I'm not getting the service, I feel I should get a refund or at least for you guys to make it so I can use the service I paid for. I just feel like I've been completely ripped off and ignored. :( If anyone is doing criminal stuff here its you, not me.

Nah, its not us... Trust me. You have PMd me on the 4th, which was a weekend. I don't see that you sent any user ID's in the PM. How can I know it?

Second of all, did you read the previous posts in this thread about the same issue? Did you read that it is your ISP's problem?

    Please reply.

    Thanks

Hish! You are a criminal! :) (joking)

@rowsdower: How old are you ? I think this kind of message especially on a public board is not a good start...
