What image format is best for improve performance of website?

    Please suggest me that what image format(.jpg, .gif, .bmp, png) is best to improve performance and speed of Website.

    I too agree with this opinion.
    For easy loading, smaller size images are preferred.

    .jpg, .gif, .bmp, png

    bmp cannot place in webpage.

    jpg is better for photos, big one
    gif better for animation
    others, use png

    As others have stated, it doesn't really matter... just use the smallest-sized image.
    For most purposes, I think that jpg would be best...
