Selling Logo for Montana Craft Distillery - 80 $ - 1 Week.

    Hi guys, I need a logo design for my client.

    Brief Overview: We are a family business with deep roots in Montana agriculture. We draw the inspiration and ingredients for our spirits from the Montana landscape. We love good whiskey and have spent two (thoroughly enjoyable) years researching the chemistry and craft behind small-batch distilling, including hands-on work alongside master distillers in the US and Scotland. Our whiskey will be properly aged and our gins and vodkas will be built the old fashioned way, from top quality grain and pure mountain water -- not neutral grain spirit purchased from a corporate manufacturer.

    Brand Name: From our distillery in Missoula, Montana -- a town of scholars, writers, sportsmen, cowboys and eccentrics -- we will distribute throughout the West and to US metropolitan centers. We will enter international spirits competitions and eventually promote our whiskey in foreign markets. Our brand needs to stand up beside the best in the industry.

    Requirements:

    We need a logo which can be incorporated into packaging for whiskeys, gins and vodkas with different brand identities, on signage, in print and on the web, and on promotional items. *We may purchase runner-up designs we like for use on t-shirts and other promo items.*

    We want to see a wide variety of designs but here are some guidelines to follow:

    1. No cowboy or Old West shtick. We are based in Montana, but our spirits will be built to international standards.

    2. The logo must look high-end, vintage, with an intricacy that evokes appreciation for craft. Not corporate or samey. We need detail, soul and depth. Both a whiskey snob and a local fisherman need to love and care about this brand.

    3. A little twist or a wink to the consumer is OK as long as it is done with dignity. See the St. George absinthe label with the monkey and the cowbell. (http://www.foodgeekery.com/fullimg/…inthe1.jpg) Other brands we love include classic Scotches like Jura, the Diageo Flora and Fauna series, and Bruichladdich. Clean and old-fashioned without being pompous or fussy.

    4. Possibilities that have occurred to us: use of initials, "M" or "MD"; a Montana animal; Missoula ridgeline and Clark Fork River, though that might be more suited to a label than a logo. What do you see?

    Identify clip art, please, as it may be a problem.

    Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
    Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)

    Edited 9/4: Since we are getting a lot of similarity, I thought I would suggest an alternate direction, just for fun.

    Vintage does not have to mean ultra-ornate or busy or aristocratic. There are some B&W distillery logos that incorporate an old-timey feeling, some more formal than others. If they are artistic, they will age well. Uploaded below...

    i'm sure much artist here also become Member @ 99D
    And me too.
    He think can fool all of us.
    i also see, and has a fact, has he upload a same picture here and @ 99D (just change color). What if client know ? Our forums (DP) will be BAD and no one will post job design here :(
    So please show some respect to our job as an artist.
